The first Zelda since Ocarina of Time that is really worth writing home about.

Zelda: The Wind Waker, being the 9th game in the series moved in a great direction. It had everything a Zelda game should (Getting the Master Sword, which was harder or impossible to get in the last two titles) and all the other fun goodies like the hook-shot, fire-ice-light arrows and even some new items like the grappling hook.
The coolest feature of this game is that most of it takes place on the high seas. This game has a very piratey feel to it. It was like Skies of Arcadia but with Link as the main character! I loved it!
I also like that instead of playing an instrument you were a conductor of sorts, guiding the wind to do your bidding, changing the direction of the wind to aid your travels along the vast oceans.
A lot of new characters were introduced, even a new species of bird-people, with a few small cameos of the gorons and zoras.
The game is long but also just flies by because it is so fun. It hardly feels like a task at all to go through this game. It's just so much fun.

BEST MOMENT: Collecting all the treasure charts and finding them all! Great collecting fun!

WORST MOMENT: Sometimes when an enemy is on the ground getting back up they are invincible. You swing at them and it does nothing and they get up and get a cheap shot off on you. This took some getting used to, but still was a little annoying.

FINAL JUDGEMENT: Get this game! It's really pretty rare now to find. You will probably have to shell out as much money as a brand new game on the next-gen systems, but every Zelda fan should have this game in their collection. It is just so much fun and I would say it's as good and almost better than the Ocarina of Time. No joke, it's amazing!
