A Zelda game that has nice controls and Wi Fi for the first time make it a Zelda game worth playing.

When I first found out about this game I thought fantastic but it isn't what I expected. I actually felt it to be a little dissapointing.

Story

For those who didn't play Wind Waker won't need to worry about the story because at the beginning it is told. After that Tetra is taken by a Ghost Ship and LInk is stranded on an island with a fairy called Ciela. You have to find Tetra and put an eput an end to this evil which is hidden in the Temple of the Ocean King.

Gameplay

The game is played by using the Stylus which is a neat idea. You tap enemies if you want to attack them and you point at things if you want to hit them with certain items. For a certain item like the boomerang you draw a route to where you want it to go. Which is a nice feature to the game. You have to swing the Stylus in a circle to perform a spin attack. Now your mode of transport is a motorboat which can be upgraded to give you more hearts or better looking or faster. You get things such as bombs and a crane later in the game to help search for treasure and bombs for taking out enemies.

Now the temples they aren't bad but the problem is they are to short when comparing them to Zelda games like Wind Waker or Twilight Princess. Some can be done in 15 minutes which is too long and everytime you finsih a temple you have to work your way back to the temple of the Ocean King which is a nightmare. Well first you get this item called the Phantom Hourglass which time is added everytime you complete a temple and you have to progress further to find the next destination. What also can be annoying is there are enemies patrolloing the area and they can't be defeated. The have a search light at the top of the screen and if you are in the direction they facing they will chase you and you have to go back to a safe zone or else they can make you lose time by hitting you. It is really such a nightmare that this is the place you spend most of your time in but what annoys me towards the end of the game you can take the enemies out. Some can be stunned and they are trap doors too to get rid of them but it still feels like your using stealth in this game which is a real shame.

For some areas you have to shout at the screen which is ridiulous because imagine if you are on a bus or train and someone hears you and they will think what on earth is he or she shouting at. So it can make you look silly. There is Wi Fi which lets you play with another person trying to collect the most Triforce pieces and you get 3 turns each. Your opponent controls the kinghts one time while you control line. There are different sizes like small medium and large and they can slow you down giving the knights a chance to hit you. Its all about tactics and this can be fun but also can be a bit hard as well and the one going second always has the oppotunity to come back. You have to get your Triforce Pieces to your base without getting hit.

Sound and Graphics

The music has some tunes from the Wind Waker and can be nice to listen to. The music isn't bad but comparing it to other Zelda games its far from the best. The graphics are basically Wind Wakers graphics which makes sense since its a sequel. I do actually think the graphics are the best in the Zelda series.

Lastability

Shouldn't take you long about a good 10 to 15 hours to complete the main quest but then there's Wi Fi so it might keep you occupied and it is nice to see a Zelda game have a multiplayer mode.

Overall Opinion

It's a good game but far from the Zelda I expected. It lacks something most of the others in the series has. It seems to casual with using the Stylus which I don't mind but it has a few problems like the Temple of the Ocean King being the biggest critcism and having to sometimes shout into the microphone to get something for a cheaper supply of Rupees. I think its a little to easy and a bit to casual when I think Zelda should be for the hardcore. Still a good game but just not the Zelda I know. Wi Fi isn't too bad though and thats a good reason to check it out. Overall a solid but unspectactular effort.
