The game that revolutionized 3D gaming.
Story : 10
Link, an eleven year old boy without a fairy has been summoned by the Great Deku Tree to save Hyrule, and after collecting three Spiritual Stones, he pulls out the legendary blade from it's resting place and it catapults him right through puberty into adulthood. After that, he must save the five sages, and then defeat Ganondorf. The story was very epic for it's time, and still is to this day, and is an unforgettable story.
Gameplay : 10
Zelda used to be a top down perspective where you could only stab your sword. Now with Ocarina of Time, there is a brand new introduced lock on target combat system which means no more aimless sword swinging or bow shooting, and this causes more dynamic battles with armed foes.
Graphics : 10
Mario getting turned into 3D gave gamers a taste of what the future of gaming would be like, and Zelda perfected that. The graphics on Ocarina of Time were the greatest ever created back in 1998, and up to this day are still better to look at than what we see on some newer generation game consoles.
Music : 10
The music in this game was composed by legendary composer Koji Kondo, and he composed more than ten unique themes that the player can perform themselves with the Ocarina. The music was so successful in this game, that it boosted Ocarina sales.
Lifetime : 10
Ocarina of Time will take you up to twenty hours to finish the games storyline first time through, and can take many more just to go around and complete everything that the game has to offer. This is a fifty hour game, and it will definitely keep you busy for a long time.
Replay Value : 10
The replay value is extremely high, because I've beaten this game what, ten times? This game is just that good that you will never get sick of it.
Overall : 10 "MASTERPIECE"
In conclusion, this game is truly a masterpiece, and will live on as the greatest game ever created. I can never choose between Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, but I think Ocarina of Time wins the fight. This is also the most critically acclaimed video game of all time, and for good reasons.
