I got this game the same time I got my N64, and I'm blown away like most everyone else. Nintendo could've botched this game dreadfully, but being the innovation wizards they are, they took the series in a bold new direction. First off, despite the fact that this game is the third Zelda game to take on the story of the Triforce, it took the story far deeper than any game before it, and became the basis for many more games to follow. The gameplay is incredibly breathtaking, putting you in the shoes of Link like never before. The controls are perfectly suited for a 3D adventure game, introducing the hallmark targeting system for combat. The dungeons are difficult, but the learning curve gets you used to them in a hurry. The abundance of side-quests also adds depth to the story like never before. The graphics and sound are perfectly suited for the N64 hardware, and at the time, they were simply un-matched in quality. With hours of gameplay at hand, this game will undoubtedly make you a Zelda addict. This game raised the standards for all other games of its time, and it still holds today as one of the most legendary games of all time.
