I like many other Zelda games more then Ocarina.

And I do feel a lot of the love for the game stems from nostalgia. Nostalgia. Ah, how I hate you.

Anyway. That doesn't matter.

I don't really know what you're trying to accomplish by posting such an incendiary thing here.

To give you an idea of what you are doing.....

Saying Ocarina is overrated is like......

Going to the Final Fantasy community and saying the best FF is either 12 or 13.....or

Saying that FF6 is overrated. I say 6 because 7 gets a lot of hate. I'm pretty sure of that.

Going to the Smash community and saying Brawl is the best Smash game.

Saying Other M or whatever it is called is the best Metroid game.....

Going to Dustloop and saying that BlazBlue is better then GuiltyGear......

Going to Shoryuken and saying Street Fighter IV is better then Third Strike......

Saying Dark Dawn is better then the first two Golden Suns....

Saying the best Pokemon games are NOT second or first gen but THIRD or FOURTH GEN! WHAT? Gen 2 is the best! Why? Because you know......old school and stuff!!!!!

What, do you expect him to go to a Final Fantasy/Street Fighter/non-Zelda board to complain about a Zelda game? That makes absolutely no sense. Don't like that he's complaining about your favorite Zelda game on its respective board? Too bad. He has every right to give his opinion and you have every right to ignore this thread.

I agree with the TC. Do I think Ocarina of Time's an awesome game? Yeah. Is it one of my favorite games of all time? Perhaps. Do I think it could be improved? Definitely. It just seems that most people are looking through nostalgia-tinted lenses and refusing to acknowledge the success of other Zelda games.

My examples where just to show the equivalent of what he is saying would he to be talking about another game series.

As in.......within the smash community. There are not too many games, really. There is 64, Melee, and Brawl. 64 is kinda in the shadow of the next two games in the series. Melee is loved. A lot. Brawl is hated on by a lot of random people.

Just go to a Brawl match video and you'll see comments like "Brawl sucks" all the time.

That statement seems to have no purpose here other then to start a fire. I highly doubt someone saying such a thing in such an area is trying to start a meaningful debate or anything. Just trying to get people up in arms.

As I said. I don't really find Ocarina of Time all that special. Pretty standard Zelda stuff. Zelda 3D, really. I have played Link to the Past, Windwaker, Twilight, Hourglass, Minish Cap, and Four Swords Adventures. ( I won't count Four Swords since that game is so different )

My favorites so far are Windwaker, Link to the Past, and Twilight Princess. Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass not so much. Ocarina is hanging around in the middle.

Now that I think about it, I think that you think I said the opposite of what I meant. Yeah. Because I am agreeing with the first post's statement of "Ocarina of Time is overrated." Not so much with the whole presenting your opinions as fact. But that is not so important. That is not will you will be remembered for.
