4 games, 1 demo, 1 disc. What a deal.

User Rating: 9 | The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition GC
It's cool to be able to play all of these great Zelda games without having to constantly swap discs. They all seem to work just fine with the GameCube controller.

The Legend of Zelda: The game that started it all. The Legend of Zelda is fun, but sometimes the controls don't work as well as they could. Still, the sprites are well designed, the dungeons are fun, like always and the items are here and work great. The game doesn't do much to make sure that you understand the story, you just sorta select the game and start playing, no type of cutscene or anything. That's ok at this day and age though because everyone knows the story.

The dungeons are here, and they're a lot of fun, although they can be very, very, very, very, very, very frusturating! Constantly dying and starting at the beginning of the level gets old. And running out of bombs and having to find a merchant is hell. Just finding the dungeons is a piss. However, the dungeons are fun, and the boss fights are still interesting. It all works very well in the end I guess, but it could stand to be less frusturating, I feel like Nintendo focused more on the difficulty and not how much fun you have with it.

Pros: Good looking sprites. Lots of items. Boss fights are fun, as always.

Cons: It can be extremely frusturating at times. The controls don't always work as well as they could.

Overall, the game is still fun to play, and fans of the original can still enjoy it. Since it comes with the disc, why not give it a try? Because of the frusturation that it causes, the Legend of Zelda gets an 8/10.

The Adventure of Link: Ehh... it's kinda boring. Side scrolling games are usually fun, but this game is hard to figure out, and when you get into a huge ambush, it's retarded, and I still don't know how to escape. You can jump though, and the sprites look good still, but that can't really make this game great. It's fun for huge fans of the series, or just fans of retro games, but anyone else might not really care to try.

Don't get me wrong, I like slicing up baddies as much as the next guy, but it's not entertaining in this game. Nothing is entertaining in this game, from Link's huge ugly nose to the annoying fighting, this game has gotta be the worst in the Zelda franchise, but that's not a surprise, it takes time for a developer to get used to trying something new, like side-scrolling. Still, I feel that Nintendo could've tryed harder to make this game better.

Pros: Good looking sprites, again.

Cons: Boring fighting. Boring everything else.

Bottomline, if you're a huge Zelda or retro fan, then this game might be for you, but anyone else might want to stay away, or maybe that's just me. 2/10

Ocarina of Time: Let me get this out of the way, this is not the best game ever made. Not to say that it isn't superb. The graphics, puzzles, items, dungeons, characters and everything are all cool, but it can be extremely frusturating (Like always) and certain levels are annoying to have to go to. Still, switching from child to adult is cool, and being a kid lets you buy masks, which is fun, just 'cause. There's not too much wrong with Ocarina of Time, but something about just makes me feel that it's overrated.

The best thing about this game is the puzzle solving. The puzzles are genius and challenging, and most of them are fun to figure out. The game starts off kinda slow, you're at your village just kinda learning the controls, then you go to the Deku Tree, but after a while you'll be killing monsters with your Master Sword. Combat is a lot of fun, and probably another great thing about this game.

Pros: Great graphics and everything.

Cons: Sometimes frusturating. Some levels just need more UMPH.

Ocarina of Time is one of the best Zelda games, but it's not THE best. I still do enjoy playing this game, it's a lot of fun, even now. 9/10

Majora's Mask: Ergh.... It's ok, but always being timed makes things harder to enjoy. Sure there are a lot of masks and huge worlds, but knowing that if you don't complete your task in time you'll fail just makes you feel like you've gotta rush. It's also annoying to have to wait for things to happen. Like waiting for the final night by the clocktower, it's extremely annoying, and if you go off to explore, you might end up getting lost. This is one of my least favorite Zelda games.

The graphics are good however, and the controls are alright, but I don't like feeling rushed throughout my games. And then when you think that you'll stop being timed, guess what, you're still timed! It's very annoying and messes up the game for me, although liek I've said for all of the games, Zelda fans can enjoy this, especially ones who played the original on the N64.

Pros: Nice graphics and controls. A lot of cool masks. Big levels.

Cons: You're always timed. The levels aren't as cool as the other games. Did I mention how you're always timed?

Meh... I recommend it to Zelda fans, but not anyone else, although I'm sure a lot of people disagree with me. 6/10

Wind Waker Demo: Wow, this game is so much fun. It's a shame the demo is so short. Only 20 minutes of play time. Not much to talk about here.

Pros: Great graphics and style. 3 levels available. Fun gameplay with awesome levels.

Cons: Only 20 minutes long.

For the game, I'd say at least a 9/10. For the demo, about a 6/10 because of the 20 minute thing.

This disc has a lot of games, surely you'll find one that you like.
