Solid With Couple Age Marks

Honestly, I did not know what to expect from bandai because i really haven't heard of anything interesting enough by them worth looking at but when i heard about an RPG for the PSP i was intrigued(sp). The Game is about two children (brother and sister) being seperated in their youth. You take the role of the brother named Avin who you get to know from childhood into his teens. Once he hits seventeen he feels it's time to look for his sister.
Now the gameplay is very nice and i like how you have your skills and magic which will different at times from character to character. The Battle sequences i find fairly interesting because your attacks have a range on this battlefield where you will fight different feinds and you have to walk over to the monster and hit him or get within range if you have some kind of bow, magic or boomerang.
You can get quests from the adventurers guild and do various things for money or follow the main quest and find your sister. I am surprised by how many people will join you in the game though. I'm only in the first town and I have four people in my party. All with different attributes.
The Controls were good but seemed to show there age, If you hit something, it would not block and stop but you would keep moving until you moved around it. This was for outside instances like if your moving through a forest or a valley but in towns or dungeons, it can be quite annoying to stop right in front of something to examine it.
I think the graphics were well done but the 2D characters remind me of paper mario. The landscape is all 3D and it looks very nice and attacks in battle are very well done also. The 2D character movements were nice because it gave me a Star Ocean One Feel to the game which i think was substantial on graphics. Don't be expecting cutscenes, everything is in game which makes the game flow nicely as well. Load Times are minimal, aside from when you actually load your saved game i can't find any. Going into a battle is a very steady flow as well which is great because your not staring at a black screen waiting for a battle
The music was alright. Nothing to scream about but the battle music sounded serious enough to conduct a battle in and the village and town music was light and happy. Some of the battle sounds could have been improved alittle but hey, i'm not complaining.
If you're an RPG fan I say get the game and enjoy it. If you're a first time you might try something else because the game has a new look but some old school feel to it.
