LOH:TV is like that blind date you didn’t really wanted to go to but you went anyway and the girl turns out to be a hot.
When you finally get to see that blind date you have been dreading to see and she turns out to be a sweet looking mamacita, heck you are sold! That’s how the graphics in this game are, you weren’t aiming for best graphics of the year and they wanted to make it look sweet on your Psp, on a 2d environment, while using sprites and what do you get, a great looking game.
Now as in any blind date you know you have to start a conversation and be able to live through it without awkward silent moments, and since you are obviously interested in your hot date you find yourself wishing that it were as simple as starting a conversation about the Jets with a Jets fan. Surprise, surprise she turns out to be a Jets fan, simple huh? Frankly the gameplay is as simple as that, you want an RPG you get a basic RPG gameplay.
Yes, the sound is good at best, but let me ask you, if you were in the date described above, will you really care too much if the girl has not the greatest laughter? I didn’t think so, by now you are more interested in other attributes the gir… er… the game has to offer.
As I promised, like the good friend that hooked you up with the hottie, I’m going to tell you were the game shines. The story, enough said. The story is superb, sure it doesn’t offer any new twist you haven’t seen before in the zillion RPG’s out there, but it still manages to keep you entertain for 40 to 50 hours. Now that is value, and anyone can easily appreciate that. I am telling you, you can’t go wrong on this one, even though the game translation is awful, I guarantee you if you play through it you are not going to even remember the poor translation.
In the end you are going to know that while it might have been a gamble going on the date or picking this game from the shelve you are going to be one happy men… or girl… if you… apply… everything I just said… the other way around. Ok, I’m going to get going now.
