3 Like So many people are complaining about another person's opinion. Tom states what makes the game great and where it falls short for him. Some of the flaws may not be as big of an impact to your own experience so tailor his opinion to your own and make the judgement to play or buy this game.
No where did he say this was a bad game or anything to be upset about.
I nearly fell asleep during this review - the reviewer's voice was so monotonous it bored me from the get-go.
Nevertheless, I shall buy this game!
reviewers have to be 100% totally unbiased, if pure gamers reviewed games then everything would get 10/10 haha
WTF was that Tom. Seriously dude you've dropped the ball on the video review. Written review is better, but not much...

not that I have anything against this score but I like 10 IGN gave it better, 10 just looks sexier
I watched the IGN review they didn't really talk about the flaws in the game much but at least they told us more stuff about the game unlike GS who didn't show much and he sounded so uninterested to.
he's the most boring reviewer on gamespot.. tries way to hard to come up with linguistic words and his tone is too mono
@hampton2003 Indeed...must agree, i was really hoping to watch a more energetic review!! Since the first videos i found this game to be really awesome looking...this review, even with an 8 score...seemed to be talking about a dread failure with a 4score or something similiar. Even stephen hawkings would´ve seem more exciting to listen to.
4 Like I'm sure the game is good. Didn't look that bad. But that review was as terrible as it could have been. The dialogue didn't go past the bullet point format. And the way he described the things I was watching was......well...just terrible. If the reviewer was better the 8.0 score may have been more convincing. Tom, I would say " stick to writing " just don't do it with bullet points.
This game doesn't deserve a 10, calm down. Maybe 9 after some polishing but 8 so far is a fair score.

Played it this morning. Oh my god it's so overrated! It gets boring so quick and the subject matter, zombies? They bore my world, why can't developers have a single original thought? I noticed several glitches in the graphics and AI, the gameplay is generic. I'm not a fanboy, I own both consoles and a pc, I wanted to play this today due to the hype, I just can't believe people went so nuts over this piece of cr*p, no wonder the review is so short.

9 Like I rarely comment on video reviews but this review, I feel, was too brief, hurried and uncompelling. It wasn't as immersive as other reviews and it felt hurriedly done, like just to get it out there so that Gamespot aren't left behind.
And three minutes? Really? This is not like GS at all.

1 Like Aaaand it had to be Tom who reviewed The Last of Us, one of the last and most expected games of this gen, really? an 8.0? i mean, i agree that kind of things can break the immersion, but those are minor things for an overall look at the game, obviously i wasnt expecting a 10 neither...but a 9.0 at least.
So you're saying since The Last of Us was "one of the last and most expected games of this gen" that it deserves a higher score? Have you even played the game? Because I see this game comes out on June 14th.
3 Like 8.0 is good, it's not like they are doing anything revolutionary accept for delivering a great story in a zombie-apocalyptic world that has some flaws.
@ampiva LOL dude this being paid off shit is getting old. The truth is Tom Mc Shea reviewed this. He never likes anything enough to give it high score. If you are a big fan of something he'll make sure you hate his reviews. (remember Zelda SS?) Also why is a damn 8 considered not being paid enough. Shouldn't the score be lower if that was the case. I am done you game fanatics really annoy me enough to not even wanna come here.
dude this guy sucks as a reviewer.... his only example of enemies not responding to you were the BLIND clickers....and KiriharaZro your a dumbs... since when does any game's cutscenes not look better than in game gameplay??? and even still THE LAST OF US' graphics kill just about any other game this gen!! everybody go to IGN.COM for a REAL review!!
As you can see in the video review, there are just a few scenes of gameplay, the rest are cinematics that looks awesome, but in game graphics dont macth with that quality and have some glitches in gameplay too, thats why this game dont deserve a 10, 8 is right to me, I buy it no doubt but Im not a fanboy who cry for a nonsense score.
Can anyone else not watch the video? its just a black screen for me. Its been happening with every video on Gamespot
