This game is exactly what Resident Evil needs to be instead of COD-lite

Seriously, this game seems to have the perfect balance of action and survival/desperation horror elements. Resident Evil just went full on action with an arsenal of weapons, more cheesy one liners, pretty much became a parody of itself. Now I'm not knocking RE at all, I'm a huge fan of the franchise, but the Last of Us is doing what RE should have been doing all along.

I think comparing the "changes" every one complained about to Gears of War is a little more fitting.

Capcom stated that the changes were to please COD fans. So, I know where TC is coming from, even if they are two completely different games.

Interesting. Seems like a lit of game companies are catoring to COD fans. Like Dead Space 3 or Bioshock Infinite's cover decision. I guess whatever makes money, even though they risk disappointing the original fan base (and usually they do).
