KOF XII unfortunately leaves you feeling abused and betrayed
I bought KOF XII the every first day it hit stores, imagine my disappointment, feels like you get drunk at a party, you meet this girl that looks gorgeous, thanks to the alcohol in your body, you sleep with her thinking "Score!!" than you wake up the morning after to find out she is the ugliest chick you ever set your eyes on.
I am probably the biggest kof and snk fan ever, but I can't front, this game is just unfinished, no offline modes, no real story going on, no Mai Shiranui!!! minchia, what tha F were they thinking, no Mai Shiranui, take off Clark Still or something.
The online play its just bad most of the times, I m still playing this game and out of five bouts I probably get one that's lag free, I like the point system, that you don't lose any when you lose a game, that 'll stop people leaving at mid fight ( like they do in SF4) not to wreck their score, the rank system its nice too although 1400 fights to get to sss rank it's a bit to much if you ask me and might put people off especially if online play doesn't flow as good as it should.
All in all kof XII is not that bad, I think we all got exited because we expected a next gen version of kof XI and got this instead, this game is not garbage like a lot people would want you to believe,the core gameplay of it is real good and the graphics are a treat in my opinion, but we do deserve better, so I am willing to forgive and forget as long as they deliver a proper game with offline content and a decent online play on kof XIII next time around and I don't think I am asking too much.
