House of The Dead Overkill is a good arcade shooter game. It suffers from good graphical cutscenes but in game graphics are superb!

The story is pretty much comedical with a lot of swear words and panty shots. It stars Agent G, Detective Washington and Varla Guns. Agent G is a secret agent who is determined not to give away any confidential info. Detective Washington is assigned to the case of putting a stop to the outbreak to avenge his father's death. Washington has a habit of swearing a lot, which gets kinda annoying after a while. Varla is a stripper who is out to put a stop to the evil genius, Papa Caesar, to avenge her brother's death. It's a basic storyline, but I suppose you don't need a great story for an arcade game.

Being a rail shooter game, you don't control your character's movements. Blowing zombies to bits is your job. You collect money in the game by killing as much zombies as possible and dying as least as you can. That money you earn can be spent in the gun shop where you can upgrade your weapons and buy new ones. All weapons have unlimited ammo. Here's a list of all the guns and their uses:

Magnum- Your default weapon. Only useful for one zombies at a time. It's very slow to reload.

Hand Cannon- This weapon is great for combos, killing enemies in one hit kills.

Shotgun- Probably the most infamous weapon in history used against zombies. It can blast a large group of zombies to bits. It takes a while to reload.

Automatic Shotgun- Just the same power as the ordinary shotgun, except you don't need to reload.

Sub Machine Gun- Good for taking out hoards of zombies. Fast reloading speed.

Assault Rifle- A really terrible gun. Don't waste your money on this!

Mini Gun- This is an entertaining gun, but isn't good. It's the most expensive but is good for collecting first aid kits.

The game is quite gory, allowing you to shoot off arms, legs, torsos, heads and even feet. In each scenario there's a different type of zombie, but there's always at least one zombie design that's in each one. Types of zombies range from killer backflipping clowns to vicious nurses.

There isn't any scares, but a lot of humour and scenes taken from movies. I reccommend this game for anyone who likes classical shooter arcade games.
