Great Arcade Shooter.....
Graphics:
The graphics are nothing fancy, but are overall nicely achieved in translation to the Xbox. Some of the textures and character models may seem fragmented at times, but overall with the amount of fast moving gameplay and quick paced gunplay, you will barely notice as you progress further in the game. The framerate seems to be pretty solid most of the time. There is very little lag or slowdown during gameplay.
Sound:
As sega always tries to win us over with either techno, or pop rock tunes, we always choose to accept, and ignore it. The sound is nothing to cum in your gym shorts about in this game. The sound of the zombies are extremely repetitive, and the same goes for the identical reloading and substandard environment sound effects.
Control:
Fast, responsive and flexible. The controls is one of the best parts of this game. The reason for this is due to the fact that you are only aiming. You never move your character, its all automated. All you have to do is aim, shoot, and reload. Quick, clean, and accurate are the best words to describe the House of the Dead games.
Replay:
If you have a friend over, grab and extra controller and jump on in. The multiplayer is another great aspect of this game. It has a 2 player co-op mode and will offer you brief, but fun and addictive entertainment. The game itself is relatively short. However, it does include the full version of the House of the Dead II to keep the game alive. Some unlockables to look forward to also once you unlock the House of the Dead II such as weapon upgrades, and some item enhancements and so on. A nice addition to the game to make it last a little longer than expected.
Overall:
The House of the Dead III will last as long as you make it. If you have a friend it will last even longer. The game itself is only about 3-4 hours long, and wont take you long to complete. However after you complete it you unlock the House of the Dead II, and that will give you a run for your money.
