I have been playing games for years, and this simple game is one of the few that was fun enough for me to finish it.

Cute and fun, one of my favorite games of all times. And I consider myself to be picky when it comes to games. I can't stand games with poor control schemes, bad story, horrible graphics, bugs or idiocy. The Hobbit has none of these and I disagree strongly with such a low rating. The game does what it is supposed to do - entertains simply.

It ran flawlessly on my PC in 07. Controls were simple. The Hobbit game was easy to learn and just plain fun for the kid in me. Suitable for 7 year olds or 60 year olds. Probably will be better if you have at least read The Hobbit once. The action was not too hard for someone with less-than-lightning reflexes. This is a game meant for FUN PLAY. Certainly not an in-depth R.P.G., but it wasn't intended to be either. Seems more like a simple but engaging console game. Try it. I think I am going to install it again and replay it after writing this.
