Spite camera and control issues this game isn't completely broken...just slightly!

The Hobbit is the prelude to The Lord of the Rings, it will actually say that in the game too. In this platformer shaded with a tint of RPG you'll take on the role of Bilbo Baggins and set out on an adventure of a lifetime. You start within the shire and set off right away in a serious of quests to get you familiar with the layout of what is to come.

The quests in the shire are quiet a bit easier than the others within the game, you'll be challenged in new ways as the game progresses, not only with the many puzzles but with the completely dysfunctional camera and sometimes hard to use controls. I am, perhaps, not the most patient person on the face of this Earth yet I find a lot of games that require quick decisions to give me just enough time to make the right one, or if I make the wrong one I know to make the right one the next time.

In this game you'll find yourself making plenty of mistakes and doing things over and over again even if you've done them correctly the first time. The camera at some point becomes completely useless as you need to point Bilbo in the direction he is jumping and if you need to jump from a tiny ledge or cliff well the camera won't lend itself in any manner to your favor. Add in sometimes messy controls and you've got yourself The Hobbit: Prelude to controller smashing!

Also, along your adventures you will be required to fight, this is another fruitless endeavor as the foes are timed to run away and attack at what seems mostly when you smash the A button and nothing happens. Spite camera and other control issues this game isn't completely broken...just slightly! You'll get through some parts perfectly fine and others will require a bit (or a lot) more work.
