If you LOVE LotR, here you go. If you don't really care, go play something worth the while.

This game (and this is a LotR fan speaking) is a rip-off. I guess if your some die-hard fan, here's the only game they'll probably ever make, until they make the live action movie, and that's in 2012, so your gonna have to wait. The game's story lives up to the story itself. It's all there for the most part, with some new stuff, like a longer time in the forest, and some more time in the Shire. The story's great, then comes the graphics. Again, until they make the live action, this is what you'll have to live with. Very unrealistic, very cartoony. The way it's set up is for a child to play, not exactly the die-hard, whom it seems was not even attended to attract. The platforming aspects, because every game needs them*, are very difficult and tedious. You can fall off then die, and when you die it's worse. It takes awhile, then you finally start off at your last checkpoint, which is usually a walk from your object. The game's acting is good, as is the music. The fighting is usually okay, accept when you die, then have to walk all the way to the boss fight again. So, really, just let your kids play the game and you go read the Hobbit. It's a better use of your time.
