RUN THE OTHER WAY!!
I started this game not expecting that much because I was bored one weekend and went to buy a used game without really looking into what I wanted to get. That was my first mistake. Mistake two- picking up The Getaway. Considering I only paid $4.99 for this I didn’t expect it to be the next Max Payne or GTA.
First off let me say, the sheer mechanics of this game are horrible. First thing you notice when you start playing is the driving system. This is seriously flawed. You have no map or radar, all you have is your car blinkers. I wasted about 30 minutes fooling with this stupid system. If you can get past that, then comes the gun fights. The targeting system is pretty good but the health is very bad. There is no HUD, the only way to tell if you are damaged is if you limp and you stomach is all bloody, THATS IT! It’s the worst system ever put into a game, oh wait I mean the second worst. The worst is to re-heal you have to lean against a wall and sit there, no moving, you sit there and wait. SCEA, Soho Games you have failed.
I am not even gonna going into graphics or sound. Don’t even bother getting this game.
