@24714733 I just started this today and it's awesome. Being able to play in a decent 3rd person mode is excellent. I like the exploration in 3rd person and combat in 1st person. This game will last me until autumn! LOL

Looking forward to this game. Which is to say, got others lined up first.

I tend to leave the best for last.

The criticisms I have for Skyrim are these, the building layouts in towns are all the same and the overall richness of color in the game is sorely lacking. With this said, skyrim is a great game which could have been a masterpiece. For any RPG fan, this is a must play.

I too thought the color palette was a tad too bland and washed. It's a snowy region all-around, but the lush places could do with more vibrant colors. That's where mods come in. There's lots that tone the ambiance alone. If there's one adding ambient lights to a certain town so that it doesn't appear abandoned at night, there surely must be one tweaking the vegetation's contrast.

this is the kind of game that makes you stay up until 5am drinking coffe, when the next day is an important one for work or school.

Started a new character again now after i played trough it a year ago, cause of the dawnguard dlc and the upcoming dragonborn, and its still fun, and awesome with so many bugfixes since I last played. This is a mustbuy for any rpg fan

I trusted Gamespot's review for the PS3 version of this game, and bought it. None of the patches fixed this game and I am still awaiting a refund from Bethesda. I wish somebody would have warned me the PS3 version of this game freezes non stop after level 23.

@Dredcrumb9 Well it was hardly an issue which was kept quiet by the gaming press. If you'd done some research beyond just one review on gamespot, you would have found articles about it on multiple gaming news sites.

best game i've ever played though i must give credit to the MODs that made skyrim the game i dreamed of. it didnt come out of the box that good. mods that improve the AIs and combat and mods that made more spawns happen in the outdoors and dozens of other mods that added over 100 new weapons and armors and many other improvements turned the game to something amazing.

thank god bethesda supports the PC crowd so well.

In Morrowind: I am spellsword

In Oblivion: a thief

In Skyrim: an assassin

Plenty of fun to have in each game.

Lol, you can play this game for 100 + hours, grow bored of it, put it away for a few months, come back to it and feel like it's a brand new game.

Bethesda sucks for releasing public betas, but I will say I more than got my money's worth out of Skyrim especially now the patches make it even more playable.

@HipHopBeats I totally agree! I played this when it was released for a few weeks, but haven't touched it since. Just started a new character and it feels like I just bought a new game! So much content; especially with everything that's been added to the steam workshop.

Between this game, Shift 2: Unleashed, BF3, and Witcher 2, I think 2011 may have been the best year of gaming for me in a long time.

@shotup81Yeah, and I am a big fan of what bethesda has worked on before, such as fallout 3. I LOVE that game, and for some reason skyrim doesn't do it for me. no idea wy. I used glitches to my advantage, i was lvl 6 when i fought 3 dragons in a row. dang,

meh. It doesn't appeal to me. I have no idea why, it just.......doesn't.  I like killing things, and plasmids (Big Bioshock fan) But I just don't like it. No idea why.

Plus, I love all the fallout games, and the lord of the rings, and yet, skyrim, nah.

Anyway, I recommend to everyone else, get this game. Looks awesome.
