Justin Porter returns with another Starting Block for Skyrim focusing on Daedric armor.
@The_Jackle im not saying they shouldnt have murder its fun but i think it deminishes the point of the quest, b4 it was something threatening them or a bit of amusement but now its just constant tests of strength and how much effort you put in. murders great but needs a liitle less overkill
@ragnarok160 constant murder is always getting a bad rap. I'm sick of peoples pro fetch anti murder agendas. Let's hear it for constant murder. YAY!
what happend to the dadric quests, at first they were fetching quests and fun now its just creeper voices and constant murder
@TheSmoj @jollybest1 @hiborijanac Just to clarify, you know that damage reduction from armor is capped, right? In other words, there is no difference between ANY armor rating above 567 when wearing all pieces of armor. In other words, if you have all relevant perks to heavy armor and reach 567, it doesn't matter if you're wearing Dragon, Daedric, Ebony or Steel Plate. Once you reach 567, no matter how much higher an armor rating you get, you won't receive additional protection. Hence, from this point on, it's only a matter of preference. In fact, as proof of concept, you can use blacksmithing potions to improve and enchanting potions and enchant IRON armor and you'd receive an armor rating beyond 567, and it would be just as good at preventing damage as Daedric Armor. Damage reduction is capped at 80%, you see, which occurs at 567 AR. :) In simpler terms, once you get to 567 AR, you can wear whatever the hell you think looks good. :) Hope that helps. .
@Warlord_Irochi Yeah, it's kinda sad that you can't get achievements once the console is used (to this point I'm not sure if ANY console use disables achievements or only specific commands), since a lot of times you can get around soooo many bugs with the console.
@renegade_magnum So, kinda like Umbra y the last game but without option to keep it... quite a shame. Will need to hold the temptation of using the command console ^^;
@TheSmoj I agree on the armor rating but I still look sexier with the dragon armor. Plus I'm near maxed heavy armor and one handed/dual wielding sword spec that I don't need to worry about a few points less of armor because I've thrown in points in double armor.
@Megachaoz Well, if you don't use lycanthropy, then you're not missing out on much, so no worries. :)
@renegade_magnum thanx for that, i guess i'm a douche then because i thought it was a burden and threw away the ring after the mission LOL... I already had lycanthropy which i hardly used, so maybe that would explain my insane mistake =P
@Warlord_Irochi There is, but it is involved in a certain quest line. You can choose to not complete the quest and continue to use the Skeleton Key forever, but you won't be able to finish the quest line. At the end of its related quest the Skeleton Key is removed and there is no way to retrieve it after that.
@Megachaoz No, that part of the quest is exactly how it's supposed to work. Once you do kill the hunters instead of Sinding, you get the ability to use the Ring of Hircine PROPERLY. In other words, you can take it off. Instead of turning you into a werewolf at random, you get an extra werewolf transformation per day (you're normally only allowed one). NOTE: However, once the quest is over, it won't work at all unless you have lycanthropy to begin with.
@circus2050: I'm confused as to why you don't classify ebony mail as a Daedric Artifact? You get it as a reward for a Daedra quest and it's listed everywhere I could find as a Daedric Artifact. Please explain.
Get your smithing up to 90 and make your own Daedric Armor. 1 leather + 2 leather strips = leather bracer. You can make leather with the hides from killing wolves, tigers, and bears. You can also get hides from the non-violent animals like cows, horse, foxs, deer, goats. Make a ton of these and you'll be 90 in no time.
@circus2050 Well technically it is in this game since you would never find it without a daedra having you kill everyone. You could make it sure, but it lacks the cool enchantments.
I can't get the dog to appear and I'm like level 34 It's a stray everytime. Also since the patch the menus open up a lot slower which sucks majorly. I can't even go to jail without a 30+ minute load screen, so I always have to fight the guards. Do not get the patch if you have it on ps3.
did anybody else get the patch? i did and i love it! awsome, i'll get sweet armor Wots up with all these ads!! >_
@Warlord_Irochi There's actually a skeleton key, but it's part of the Thieves Guild quest and you could only hold on to it for awhile, as it's a quest time.
@lupodirosso Still having the game in a early progress but... tell me there is skeleton key, please!
daedric armor is the best HEAVY armor in the game ....... that doesn't make it the best armor in the game because depends on your class if you are a mage or you use more stealth it will not help you much because heavy armors have a stealth penalty.......
ok.. 1.daedric armor has greater armor rating than dragon armor but as its so hard to find daedra heart dragon armor is easier to craft. 2.as one of our fella said best way to lvl up smithing skill is iron dagger.you need an iron bar and a leather strip for one iron dagger.find or buy a load of iron and leather and craft as much dagger as you need to reach lvl 90 or 100 3.never sell ebony ores as you need a load of ore to craft a set of daedric armor and upgrading them.best place to find ebony ore is in mine inside an orc camp south of winterhelm.to go to there you can do orcs quest and become a blood keen pr you can kill them all :D 4.best place for buying daedra heart is in magic academy.there is a fella in the sec floor of students building that selling them(2 at a time i think).also you can try going to meh lord degans shrine.azore quest also sending you into the azore star.there r two daedra there to kill and take their heart.but be careful as the fight is hard and as soon as you kill the target azore will transfer you back to skyrim.so take out their heart fast! sry if my spelling sux :) have fun
daedric heavy armor is better than dragon plate. Dragon plate looks terrible , when wearing it you look like a pineapple. I have maxed smithing and enchanting and armor rating for my dragon plate was 687. I switched to daedric armor and now my armor rating is 960, plus it looks better.
@SPD_WeBmAsTaH Although i do use the dragon armor on my characters, i have found that the Daedric armor has a higher armor rating, even though it takes a higher smithing level to craft dragon armor. I still prefer the awesomeness of wearing dragon bones though!
@renegade_magnum Don't you get the Ring of Hircine from the werewolf guy at the start and the point of killing the big white deer lol (Hircine) and his quest to remove the ring and randomly change into a werewolf, that's what i thought, i couldn't get the ring off, duno why maybe that was a bug =S
@Megachaoz That might be a bug mate. The quest reward for killing the hunters instead of Sinding SHOULD be the Ring of Hircine.
I got better stuff than that. Try dragon armor, it's a lot better. That Boethia quest was fun though.
shattered i decided not to kill the werewolf but the bandits instead and ended up getting nothing >.
Things got a little heated http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSJ2TqvYKcc
I love that the priestess of boethiah gets breathed on by a dragon at 3:33. Dumb dragons. Always showing up when all you want to do is make a deal with the devil.
@endorbr most of the daedras are crazy dudes who want to have some fun killing or helping you to kill something XD
you know what is so amazing about this game? even after you do that oghma infinium glitch and raise all set skills, even after the infinite gold, you never get bored STILL! other games you get tired quickly, but wow there are just TOO many things to do even with max stuff.. brilliant!
It's really easy to get Deadric Armor and stuff. Get about 6k gold, then go buy a crap load of iron ingots and leather strips and make a bunch of iron daggers. You should be able to get your smithing to level 100 in less than an hour, allowing you to get the Deadric armor perk. After you have done that, go to Gloombound Mine (southeast of Windhelm), and inside you will find an ass load of ebony ores ripe for picking. So, yeah, stock up on that ****, then take it to a smelter and make some ebony ingots. Now that you've done that, you're going to need some Deadric Hearts. You can get one fast by going into the Companions guild building, and go downstairs and down the hall where the companion leader always sit around. There should be a heart there. But you're going to need more than that. A quick way to get 4 hearts is to go to the shrine of Mehrunes Dagon. It's up there somewhere by Dawnstar. Google it. That's about it. If you've done all that, you can easily make your own Deadric armor and weapons. I just wanted to post this in case anyone needs help with it, even though this video is about the artifacts.
I just want to point something out real quick. I think the saviors hide isn't a Daedric artifact. At least the guide doesn't say it is. To get the Ring of Hircine, which I think is the real artifact for that quest, you must choose not to kill Sinding when he talks to you.
Oh, I thought it meant traditional daedric armor for a second. I already have all of those artifacts they're talking about anyway. Back to the game!
