Johnny brings you news of the PlayStation Vita only allowing one PlayStation Network account per device and Skyrim's mammoths potentially becoming a thing of reality.
I could give several figs about the Vita itself. I couldn't give a fig about not having more than one account. Doesn't bother me a bit.
I can't wait for Vita!!! Also the things people are complaining about have nothing to do with the experiences your going to have with it. The way I see things is that people are just looking for a excuse to flame on Sony. But at the end of the day Sony giving us what we ask for and what they promised unlike other companies...
It's not thay I want to lend my system to others, it's that a lot of the games I play aren'y available with a UK account (JRPG's, Baseball games...many pther...my facourite genres) So i have a UK, US and JP account simply to buy more games. If Sony don't want me to buy more games - then I won't buy any. A hobbled system that locks me out of many of my favourite games isn't going to attract my cash.
As no decent baseball games are released in the UK, that's me out of the Vita. No biggy, there's plenty of other games on other platforms out there
@ABEzilla116 Simply put I was excited for the vita leading up to the price point news where I was 100% chill with it. Me and a few friends were stoked for the system. But then sony started its downhill campaign for the PSvita releasing bad news after badnews. So this last bit of news was the last nail for me. Meanwhile a few of my friends already dropped out a couple months ago due to some other bad news sony said :/ I am surprised I lasted longer then them. And why this is a big deal? I am a avid gamer. I invite friends over on weekends for gatherings to enjoy anything and everything I have. I have literlly thousands of dollars in equipment and let them basically try or borrow my stuff if they need to watch their money or unsure about a purchase. And I know for sure have my own set of memory cards and profiles that I keep with myself. While others can use their own profiles/memory cards. So now the system is not worth it for me. As I don't focus on any particular system longer then a week for playing. I might consider the system now if it is worth $100 or they revise their gameplan. Till then I am POed that it was the only electronic device I was looking forward to owning for the next year :/
Wow... A few months ago I really wanted to buy a Vita. Every time Sony opens their collective mouth about it I get less and less interested. Probably going to give it a miss now, since I can't share the fun :(
I'm excited about the mammoths being cloned but we have been promised that for years. I'm glad they dropped the whole, "lets clone a t-rex or velociraptor" idea. I've seen enough movies to know that that idea always turns out horribly bad ha ha
In the great words of Russell Brand- "I am philosophically and semantically opposed to this idea"... Hence, stick to iPhone gaming I guess... I will have to wait for the PS3 or PSN release of the Uncharted "exclusive" Vita version... (kind of like GoW right??)
The one account thing kills me. I originally opened a UK PSN account (being English n'all) only to find that my credit card cannot be used to buy anything (since I live in the Middle East). Tried making a profile for my country but at the time the PSN Store didnt exist if I made an account linked to my correct country. So I had to buy store pre paid cards to get DLC, problem with that is they dont tell you that if you have a different region game than the store you bought the DLC from the DLC will not work. Surprise! This is a big issue since over here we have a complete mix of EU and US games you never know what region the game will be until it is in shops. So recently the PSN store became available to me and my credit card because it is now finally available on the account linked to my country. However this is 5 years and many many trophies too late. And because the official region of the Middle East is PAL/2/B if Im locked to either my UK or Middle East account Im effectively cut off from all US game DLC. And as mentioned before there is no way of telling what region games come as over here. This might sound like a unique situation but it will be the same thing for all gamers living in the Middle East the Vita screws us. So yeah, PSN/PS3/PSV totally region free. Sort of. Ironically the 360 while having the regional lock out in place rarely uses it. I own a PAL 360 and haven?t run into a non working US game in about 2 years. Plus it doesnt care where you buy your DLC.
Thats awesome, they should do it. I wish to purchase a baby mammoth. Its not "Playing God" if god gave us the technology and intelligence to do so. Is giving someone a heart transplant "playing god"? And if it is, its clearly not a negative thing.
I really wanted the Vita as my handheld after 3DS flopped with no games. Though as time passes I want it less and less, guess I stick to mobile gaming on my DS and iPhone sigh, its fun and all, but can't compare to a good handheld.
can i use my existing PS3 PSN account on my vita ( use the same account for both systems ) or am i forced to use a different account for each system , coz i find it easier using a single account for all ur data, downloads, and trophies. anyway an answer would b much appreciated.
Silly silly scientists, when o when will they learn. Maybe when one of them is sodomized by a mammoth's tusk? One can only hope. Don't mess with things that should not be tampered with. If you mess with the natural order of things you will destroy it entirely. Promise. On the plus side, Minecraft is neato!
I likely might have gotten a Vita if i knew it wouldn't be so intrusive and restrictive. If people thought the PS3 was bad, wait till this comes out >_> but all this arbitrary crap they're doing is just a selfish grab around the customers necks. Gonna have to pass this one up too.
Though multiple accounts don't seem to make sense on a portable [why would one share a portable?] but when you consider folks like me who got 3 different PSN accounts, this is a terrible idea. Between this and proprietary memory cards, Sony has managed to drive away at least ONE genuine customer... ME.
That is the last nail in the coffin for me using the Vita for any legit uses now if I ever end up buying one now :/
Instead of bringing a dead species to life, how about working harder to keep endangered ones from going extinct? Of course individual scientists shouldn't be concerned about this; they should just focus on their science. Governments and whoever are funding scientists, should. This is terrible news from Sony indeed. EU gets some exclusive releases not available in US; I have Dissidia FF 012 that special EU collector's edition. When my Japanese becomes a bit more polished, I may want to get some Japanese games too. However, it is their right. That said, to vent, I will say I hope the entire PS line goes out of business soon if this trend continues. End of vent.
Ever since the Vita price reveal all news about it has been bad, bad, bad. Not exited by it anymore.
When I read "real life Skyrim", I had asumed this would mean now I could run around in a Fur hat and greaves, refering to myself as 'Conan', carrying a huge claymore, and occasionally yelling "YOU TOOK MY FAHTER'S SWORD!"....What? You don't do that when you play Elder Scrolls?
Already canceled my Vita pre-order. With memory cards launching at $40-$120, its just too pricey. And now this nonsense. I will hold out for a while.
I have an idea...how about we just remove every religion and do whatever the hell we want with science?
Why would I trust MY friends with MY Vita? Oh well, I wasn't going to let them use it anyway, besides, if they do anything good with my account, then more power to me!
1) Scientists have been saying they "could" clone a mammoth "in 10 years" since the first Jurassic Park movie. 2) Portable systems usually allow a standard 3 save files per game. Thus, others could play without having to use a different ID?
If I had a £1 for EVERY fig I gave about the VITA only allowing 1 account per unit, I would STILL be flat broke...
The one account only with the PS Vita is a big mistake in my opinion, it costs alot of money and families or even friends aswell might want to share it but instead of them using your account to have a got they could make their own account or use a guest account, just an idea, should be like the PS3.
I DONT mind one account unless it device craps out and now your lock for that device for all the content you got with it
He needs to play the trumpet better. Also why share your account when you know they'll alter you game status.
Ah the typical way of greedy people. "Hey, I know. Lets make this awesome handheld...and then f*ck it up just like we f*ck up everything else, yeaaah thats a good idea" I personally dont care much for handheld stuff but geez, some kind of common sense wouldnt hurt those people.
Gamespot, the place where pitch and rhythm are considered acceptable substitutes for content and wit.
Sony seems to be doing EVERYTHING in their power to destroy Vita's chances. Well, bad for them. I don't really care about handhelds.
