The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim User Review
- Difficulty:
- Very Easy
- Time Spent:
- 100 or More Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Ambitious"
Very ambitious game that tries to deliver on many aspects but fail in quite a few.
Graphics- 10 breathtaking and engine efficient. you can get more out of it if you like with the abundance of player made mods.
Value- 10 you can squeeze out of this baby 150 hours of gameplay easily before you will get truly bored.
Sound- 9 Jeremy soule with another musical, good voice actors and good sounds for everything else.
gameplay - 6. The gameplay can be misleading because there are some moments in the beginning where you are going to get 9 feeling when fighting dragons. it falls short mostly with the stories which never delve to deep. now there are amazing places to explore all around skyrim which make you feel more like hiking around in a great imaginary world. but it isn't fleshed out story wise and it let you fill most of the gaps by yourself. main storytelling is a joke and they mostly just send you from point a to point b to kill c or get d. killing c or getting d isn't bad its just how they do it it doesn't come to life enough. you don't really get the immersion feeling that the world around you changes or react to your actions.
Combat and character development. I seriously think they need to rethink things. its very ambitious to try and balance a world for a free roam fps. and they fail at it miserably. so many things you can do to make yourself overpowered and its annoying to place on yourself artificial limitations more so you usually do it way after its due. enchantment smiting and alchemy are three skills I would recommend to avoid all together if you strive to have a balance and interesting gameplay. avoid training as well since it will also make you overpowered. stay away from potions and food. and only use restoration if you must but its also highly not recommended. this way you can still play on the normal level and have lethal and smart gameplay because the combat system by tself is good and interesting. you dodge you block. you aim. you can sneak. just place those artificial limitations on yourself and the gameplay will be much better for you to experience.

Skyrim is more than a year old, but I never found a review that covered the game on all systems. This is it.
