I am still new to this as you can see by my time played at the top and I will edit this review as time passes but let me let you if you dont own this game then you need to go out and steal it NOW. Obviously I do not condone thievery or crimes of any kind but I had to somehow describe my enthusiasm for this game.
I bought it used for one reason; a few months before the release of Skyrim I decided to get on board with the Elder Scrolls series by picking up Oblivion. As much as I tried to like Oblivion, it could not get out of its own way. That was my one hang up. I read all the reviews I watched all the videos, I even talked to the Gamestop cats about their thoughts on the game. Finally I had heard and seen enough, I had to have it.
So, roughly 12 hrs into this fantastic digital experience and I have barely touched the main story line. How could you? There is sooooo much looting and exploration and side quests; I dont know where to start. If you are a straight forward, bang bang type of game fan than this game will appeal to you for only a short time. If you like huge stories and even bigger game play than you will fall in love with this game.
I said I would update my review and as promised I am here to do that. I am well over 100 hours and this game still has not gotten old or tired or any other adjective that would describe a normal game. This was never a normal game and should find itself in the Gamers Hall of Fame at some point in its life.
As I just stated I have well over 100 hours and I still have yet to actually "beat" the game. The side quests, the exploration, the art work that was put into this game all adds up to such a magnificent piece. I can admit this because Iam comfortable in my gamability that I have literally just stared into the noght sky because the artwork is that amazing.
I do have one seriously negative point theat needs to be made concerning this game and it only applies to the PS3 version (of course). Apparently or allegedly, Bethesda and Sony could not come to an agreement in regards to the (from what I have heard, read and watched) add-on that made the game even better and amazingly longer. Not only has this disagreement since been settled it has been hurtful only to PS3 fans. Bethesda will not only make the add-ons and future add-on for Xbox. I am a die hard PS guy and always will be but I do blame Sony for this colossal screw up.

Skyrim is a good game, highly enjoyable with so many quests, but it lacks something that games like Dark Souls have.
