The biggest disappointment of the year...

User Rating: 4.5 | The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim PC
I remember getting Oblivion on my 6th grade graduation day. I played that game for over 300 hours, going through every little town, and every cavern and crevice. I completed every quest, from the deadric shrines, to the potato bread quests. I loved that game with all my heart. And not to mention Morrowind. I played that for a good 100 hours or so trying to find all the secret super-items like the Bittercup. Haha, I remember when I found the Bittercup. It asks you if you wanna drink it to increase your highest ability, or sell it for 100000 gold. Aaah those were the days.

And then I saw that the next Elder Scrolls was coming out. Boy oh boy was I excited for this game. I went to the midnight release and everything. When i played it at first, I thought it was good but when I completed all the quests, I realized that I wasted a good 40 hours on this stupid game.

That's right, only 40 hours. 40 hours to complete a game that I thought was going to take a lot longer then that. I mean, this came from a game that took me 300 hours to completely finish the entire game. What the hell!!! Why is it that this game is so short? Did the devs want to screw me over on a boring RPG that i thought was gonna be fun as hell? I don't know but I was very disappointed with Skyrim beyond belief.

The story of the main quest is fu**ing stupid. This dragon is going to destroy the world and you have to stop it, blah blah blah. The main quest itself is about 4-5 hours long at its longest. Unlike the main quest in Oblivion or Morrowind which took over 3 times as long. Also, the guilds in the game are utterly boring and fu**ing stupid (well except for the Thieves guild which was the only FUN guild in the game). The guilds were the Companions (which is like the fighters guild but you just fight animals for the rest of your Companion life), the Thieves guild, the Dark Brotherhood (which was INCREDIBLY short, at around 2 hours, and unlike the DB in Oblivion which was actually entertaining), the Imperial and ShadowCloaks (which are just go fight and kill people for like 2 minutes kind of quest lines), and the College of Winterhold which is like the Mages Guild but is only about 2 hours long. Now the beef that I have the most with these quest lines is that you hardly get anything out of them. The only thing you do get is this special power you get out of the Thieves' Guild. That is literally all you get out of completing every quest line in the game. A stupid spell..... *facepalm*

The combat in the game is retarded (sorry if I offended) because you always win the stupid fights. The difficulty is way too easy even on the hardest difficulty because the enemies don't appear to do as much damage as they should. The weapons are the same, except if you upgrade them which seems like a tacked on feature. I mean, all you have to do is level up and mine stupid ore. Why? This seems so..... unnecessary. Why cant you just have an option to sharpen the weapon. You DO use the sharpening wheel to upgrade weapons you know. Uuuuh, anyway, the upgrading seems so stupid and not necessary. And btw, the spells and shouts that look cool are just stupid effects that hardly do anything to an enemy.... >______>

Okay, so as you can see, I hate this game. I am am a huge fan of Morrowind and Oblivion (because come on,I don't feel like going far back to Arena and Redguard. Who is?) With all the glitches and shi**y graphics (DirectX 9? Really Bethesda? REALLY?!! And only using 2 gb of my 12 gb of RAM for Skyrim? *exaggerated and long a$$ sigh*) I'm surprised I haven't uninstalled my game yet. I think it's time to do that.

I wouldn't recommend this to anybody......ever
