Yay, TES game, pretty good for the wait. Also probably my final review on this website.

User Rating: 9.5 | The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim PC
Welp, where to begin.

The graphics are impressive, to my standards at least, and since you're reading the PC review, you should probably be on a PC and intelligent enough to install mods. If the graphics don't meet your standards, download download download.
10/10

Gameplay is pretty solid, feels a bit like oblivion but a bit more about charging in and attacking rather than, hold block till enemy attacks. Dual wielding is neat, but feels sloppy since you can't block while fighting, I was hoping to be able to attack and parry but meh. Magic is cool, combining spell effects, spells in both hands, heal with one hand, sword in the other? Pretty neat. Quest system feels sloppy at first, it's a bit hard to notice map markers at first compared to oblivions, but your eyes will adjust. Generally they just ported everything from Oblivion and added everything fans wanted. As for dragons, I'm not a fan. Seems like many people love them, and love fighting them. In fact, I'm the only one who seems to dislike them. They're cool at first, but after having a dragon swoop into town when I'm rushing to do a quest and forced into fighting it, it gets rather annoying. 9/10

Sound: Not much to say, good voice acting, good quality, neat animal sounds. Pretty good all around. 10/10

Story: Open world RPG, usually isn't much to the stories here. Still, the game centers around the dragons which I felt rather dull, but again, most other people seemed to like it. Not much to say here. The other half of the main story is about the Stormcloaks and Imperials where it's basically rebels vs "the government" respectively. It's actually pretty interesting but I'm not going to spoil any of it here. I will say though, that New Vegas promised no clear bad guy, which was clearly not the case. Here, there really is no bad guy, both sides have pretty equal ups and downs and sometimes you'll call into question if you did indeed choose the right side. 9/10.

Otherwise, the bugs are a little frustrating, really Bethesda? 2gb RAM limit? How dated. The menus feel sloppy for PC, but a quick mod will fix it, as will the patch arriving tomorrow. You'll probably want to at least begin a new game just to see what it's like starting out for the opposite faction, but may or may not be inclined to continue playing. At the very least there is 50 hours of gameplay here in a single playthrough and there is sure to be DLC. 10/10

9.8/10 except gamespot removed the ability to pick such ratings, so I'll go downhill as this game isn't perfect. Definitely worth the money for both new fans of the series and old ones.
