This is a rushed and short review mostly for people interested in the same games as I am!

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the best and most innovative in the series to date.

Let's start with player progression. I'm a huge fan of leveling up your skills and then putting skill points into that skill to even further make you more proficient at whether it be one-handed, archery, or destruction magic. Choosing whether to put your points into stamina, health or magic makes for interesting outcomes. With this setup you can be a heavy armor wearing Illusionist. It all depends on the individual player's preference.

Moving on to gameplay. The addition of LT, left hand, RT, right hand opened up so much for combat. Now I can swing my sword with my right hand and summon a Dremora with my left, or just dual wield a sword and an axe and just wail away at the enemy Berserker style. Sneaking feels much more fluid and natural. Having an NPC to follow you around is nice when it comes to carrying around tons of loot. The shouts have added another interesting aspect to the game, ranging form Dragon's frost or fire breath to summoning a Dragon to come and aid in battle.

The story is compelling for those who actually follow the lore and history of Elder Scrolls. The DLC Dragonborn actually lets you journey away from Skyrim to an island off the coast of Morrowind and allows you to ride Dragons, although you can't control them directly but you can order them to attack and cast magic from their backs.

Overall this is a highly addicting game that can steal hours upon hours from you. I recommend it for those in the open world, RPG style games.
