Yes. I personally never save over an old one. However, my game starts running slower when I have over 20 saves in my file, so you do have to go into the save folder and clear out unneeded ones after every session or two.

Post 5 is what I recommend for saves. 3 is the minimum recommended. (however, 20 is a little overkill)

lmao. if you look at how many saves i have for both 360 and ps3 characters, it adds up to over 100 lol

What about how to avoid fail quest in the game like I have two main quest that were failed and can't seem to fix them.

Keep multiple saves. Then, if you encounter a quest that appears to be broken; you can check UESP's bugs sections and find a fix. The most common fix is to load a previous save.
So save... A lot.
