If I get skyrim, is it easier to mod if I buy the disc or If I digitally download it? What's the pros and cons of digital download and disc's?

    It won't budge.

To my knowledge, there is no difference at all. It'll be the same if you buy a hard copy than if you have gotten a digital copy.

They're both as easy as each other to mod. basically identical, the only difference is where you'll be keeping the files.

The Steam version is actually easier to install because you don't have to faff around with disc etc.

As far as modding goes you'll find most of your mods here:

If you want to learn how to apply mods I highly recommend you watch these videos:

After you've watched those check out these videos to get an idea of the kinds of mods there are, see what you might like.

Personally I'd recommend getting these mods even for your first time playing the game.

    1. Whatever unofficial patches you need (Only get the ones you have the game content for or you'll crash every time you load the game (ie. only get the Hearthfire Unofficial patch if you buy Hearthfire)

    2. Race Menu (gives you a better character creation screen)

    3. Better Dialogue Controls and SkyUI and Categorized Favorites menu (unless you're planning on playing with a controller)

Mount and Blade is a lot like Fire Emblem, except that instead of Lance beating Sword Lance beats everything but Castle.

No difference. Both have to have a physically location on disc. Only difference is whether or not it's in the Steam folder.

Steam might be easier because you can just subscribe to mods on Steam and they self-install without any hassle. I don't have the disc, so I'm not sure how modding for that is.

I assumed you could add games to Steam since I saw an option for it somewhere on the window, but that may be for Valve games only. I will say having a physical disc makes the install go so much quicker if you want to play in a timely fashion.

As a side note, it does seem as though you can add Skyrim from a disc to Steam.

skyrim is a steamworks drm game so it requires steam regardless of what version you buy physical disc or digital download. if you have crappy internet service like me you mainly buy physical discs although you would still have to download the high res texture packs and any dlc.
