as If they're not loading in at all, anybody else have this issue? It's kind of odd and annoying

ok...now it loaded in AFTER I killed it
that's odd, the rest of the game plays beautifully on max, it's just that sometimes dragons spawn with like n64 textures

me1122 posted...Are you using any mods?
A couple, nothing major at all though:
1) better maps
2) map markers (mines and houses)
3) all of the unofficial patches
and that's it

looks like it's happening with mostly frost dragons
saw this vid:
http://youtu.be/v3St7nnrNN4that's pretty much what is happening, that's also on the 360 so mods aren't involved

Funny enough, I had a similar issue after installing a HD Dragon texture mod.

Quicksave and quickload after it appears. The textures will then load properly.

I'll do that next time (probably a stupid question, but what is the "quick load" button? I know F5 is the quicksave button, but I'm fairly new to PC gaming so just wondering).
It would just be weird. I would fight them, they would look like crap, then i would kill them, and the game would pause for maybe a millesecond as the dragon then died but looked all beautiful D:

pyro_bunta posted...PC Specs?
As mentioned in this topic, I don't think it's a spec thing, as the textures load instantaneously after a second when the dragon dies. And I can play max with little to no problems. But I'm using an HD6950 and I have a I7 3.2 CPU

I've had it happen, and I've seen videos on YouTube that had it a well. Don't worry about it.

I've had this happen only once. It was a revered Dragon I was sent to kill alongside my blades helpers. The dragon was way out of range and I had to use a bow to aggro it. I put it down to too much going on too fast. If you increase your speed and run the countryside sometimes the ground textures do that.

I had this problem a few months back, I think it was something to do with Mighty Dragons. Between all my dragon mods, I would come over the top of a cliff in time to see 3 ridiculously powerful, named dragons land right in front of me . . .with no textures. Got kind of aggravating, especially since you had to fight the stupid things for like half an hour to kill them.

When I ran the game modless in vanilla the first time, Paarthurnax gave his entire fifteen minutes introduction in those N64 graphics. I've seen chinese steet parades using better textures for their dragons. You know, those that look like Beast from the muppets.
It thought wtf, expected patches to fix it later. And they did.
