Also, there's very clearly a point where "doing it for teh childrenz" is not a valid excuse, and Cersei crosses that constantly. Hell, Joff is more innocent than her. He can't help his bad upbringing/crazy gene.
The Elder Gods from Mortal Kombat
Think about it.
Alduin's return is supposed to mark the beginning of the end of the world if I'm reading it correctly. What if the Eight Divines decide they've had enough of Nirn and decide to unmake it? Then the PC's job will amount to one of two things: 1) Restore Talos to his position in the Eight + One to restore harmony between the Divines and mortals, or 2) Take over the position of Talos in the Eight + One to act as arbitrator between the Aedra and mortals.
The entire point of Skyrim was the 8 not wanting the kalpa to end, hence you being sent in to stop Alduin.....That would make Skyrim's plot completely superfluous.
And there's nothing about Talos to "restore." Talos has CHIM. He doesn't need faith for his power. He also has nothing to do with "arbitrating."
And no, the PC is not going to become a god/with CHIM and "take Talos' place." Lol. No.
