Hah, yeah ,the way Eorlund says "God's be Praised" is with more desperation than I thought could be packed in to three words. You'd think the man was starving for lack of business or something.

Don't get me wrong, I say "bless you" and stuff, and i'm not religious, but I think you need to rethink which of the two is really worse.

He's being sarcastic. He's glad you've decided to shut up and buy something. Like he says, he ain't one for talkin'.
And yeah, way more pushy atheists than religious people where I live, too. Growing up, my parents were Christians (I'm agnostic), and we got a hell of abuse from atheists who were so damn sure we must be mad. You wouldn't think Christians would get abuse in a civilized western nation, but here we are.

Yeah it's sarcasm, Eorland is pretty douchey when it comes to socialising but he's pretty wrapped in his work, when you're forging some of the highest quality steel in Skyrim from before midday until the early hours of the morning you have to be dedicated to your craft, you don't have time for chit chat. I find when I have a project that I'm really into that I loose a lot of interest in talking to people unless I'm working on said project with them.
