Can't get to Fort Dawnguard?

I've checked the backlog threads, and see nothing on it.

I have Dawnguard installed, but when I hit the gate and wall at the old southern end of the map I can go no further. I've tried tcl-ing through, and it still doesn't work. I know I've got Dawnguard, as I talked to the Orc guy, and it's marked on my map as well.

Okay, I broke down and turned on my quest tracker, and it took me to the fort, buuuuuut everyone is trying to kill me. No I'm not a Vampire. (Or, according to UESP, a Lycanthrope.)

It's either a mod conflict or you attacked someone in the Dawnguard faction.

I found out that if I kill the first traveler on the path to the fort, then I'll be okay. Kind of a bass-ackwards way of doing it, but ehh.
