Can someone give me insigths about the soul tear dragon shout.

I know it soul traps and zombifies living things if you kill that living thing with the shout but i have 4 questions about the shout:
1. If you kill with the shout does it capture the soul? or do you have to use it then use a weapon to kill what you use it on for it to capture the soul?.
2. Can it zombify any living thing?
3. How much damage it does?

1. It has the same effect as a 2 second soul trap. If you kill it any time in that 2 seconds in any way you get the soul.
2. Just most things, cant do Dwarven automatons or horses for example.
3. Kills everything on novice in about 1 hit, legendary dragons take about 5 hits on novice.
On master takes about 1/5 of a Deathlords Hp

Playing on 'medium' (Adept?) It kills most Bandits, Bandit Outlaws and Bandit Plunderers in one hit. Used on a deathlord at that difficulty, it takes away about a third of health.
It takes forever to recharge though, without a Talos Amulet, so be ready to get down n' dirty with the deathlords.

Without a doubt, but is almost useless without all three words and it's speed at distance is terrible so up close is almost your only option.
All in all it's up there with Unrelenting Force for my Fav drag shout.
