All the female chars on skyrim nexus look awesome but after around an hour of trying, i cant get anywhere near how they look.

I currently have Apachii hair mod, CBBE, envision face, pretty face, RANS type-D headmesh and pretty face.

And eyes of beauty dont work.

Can someone suggest mods i should install to at least put me on the right track? Thanks.

Well the face and head mods that you are running are awful if you want a realistic attractive female. I made my own face texture using Temptress race as a base but I'm using nuska's normal maps. However it's my preference so you are going to have to do a lot of trial and error before you are happy.

how about a screenshot of what ya have made? maybe then someone cna offer advice.

we each see beauty our own way, so remember to take any advice openly..
here's one of mine from a while back, using several of the same mods as you. to me she is fine, kinda on teh cute side, others will say differently.

For those looking for more a more eastern or japanesey look to their female characters:

BFG - Better Face Gen [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6953]
Envision Face [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7897] or Univision Face [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14569]
    RANs HeadMesh Variants [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7127]
    RANs Tweaked FaceMenu [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9897]
Fair Skin Complexion Body for ADEC-CBBE-UNP-UNPB-UNPC [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19666]

Pretty self explanatory. These mods are all just needed to be installed if you want a “japanese-made” look to your characters (I.E japan game art direction, not anime). RANs Tweaked FaceMenu replaces eye width slider with eye angle slider which allows you to adjust the shape of character eyes even further (like making elven eyes look more human). RANs Headmesh Variants is just a face texture mod with some different variations to pick. The rest are just face, body, and face shape texture mods. Fair Skin Complexion Body is the body texture that’s compatible with Envision or Univision face to avoid neckseams due to body-face skin tone mismatch.

The rest is just your slider skills. There's Enhanced Character Edit, but it's pretty buggy and usually causes crashes. I recommend using CBBE over UNP if you want japanese-ish characters.

    If you want western style:

XCE - Xenius Character Enhancements [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2356]
A mod pack containing all of character enhancement mods by Xenius. It improves facial textures and also gives higher detail to character faces, getting rid of the blocky-ness you get from low quality models and textures. Affects both the player and NPCs like most character texture mods.

    Coverwomen [http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2356]
A female texture enhancement mod for Skyrim's female characters. Let’s be honest, Skyrim doesn’t exactly have the best female character faces (pretty ugly even). This mod enhances the look of female characters while still saying true to the art direction and close to vanilla Skyrim’s look. Can’t stand the sight of a strong Nord woman? Well now you can.

    Thamks
Im gonna try that right now. Also, after each time I modify the mods, do I have to start a new game for the mods to display correctly or can I just use showracemenu?

I recommend starting a new game (a.k.a clean save), then save that new game. Then load your old save file.

Just make sure you install them properly (NMM recommended for the ones that do not need manual install). Make sure you run BOSS too, just in case (even though these are texture mods).

This is how to do a real clean save, by the way.

    http://arwenevecom.ipage.com/Skyrim/Skyrim-Tips.htm#Clean_Save

Starting a new game isn't going to do anything for your current character. If the mod changes are big enough, I'd actually recommend starting fresh (especially script-heavy mods), but if it's just cosmetics you're probably fine.

    Thanks alot for the help.

Wasnt able to do much with the sliders or maybe im just noob but this is the best i can do. I an very satisfied with it. The women are just way too ugly without mods in this game. Its still far from the screenshots of other peoples char i see but i shouldnt be too greedy.

    Heres a screenshot;

Thanks all again for the help. For a long time gamefaqs user, i can definitely say the elder scrolls gamers are definitely one of the most helpful of all.

If anyone knows other tips and tricks for making prettier faces, please let me know xD

Remember its not just the mods, but the slider settings as well. Generally speaking, slider settings towards the middle are usually the most attractive. You always want to go for symmetry. Your character's brow and cheekbones and area underneath the chin above the neck are too low. I would recommend downloading a save game with an attractive character, and then use that as a template for designing your own character.

Krista's Ladybody mod, by far the best body mod, the face mods that come with it are good too. Just a shame that there's not many armours for it, but the ones available are awesome.

OP so bad at doing this. Maybe stop playing games and go make female in real life.

Not really. Some people prefer to lower eye height, shorten the chin, and make the jaws less wide, and make nose smaller. Especially applies for young female characters:

    For these pics I'm using...

    - Envision face
    - CBBE v3 (custom BodySlide)
    - Apachii Sky Hair
    - Eyes of Beauty
    - Extended Slider Colors
    - Fair Skin Complexion (with Envision Face patch)
    - BFG - Better Face Gen (not sure if this is working, because I don't see any difference with Envision face on)
    - RANs HeadMesh Variants (Type B)

    e

low brow =/= as low eyes, my character has low eyes but not a low brow...and i think yours

does too. Moreover, shortening the chin is not the same as raising the area underneath it & making the jaws less wide is not the same as making the cheekbones higher. I don't believe

either of our characters have low brows, low cheekbones, and frog neck (for lack of a better term). Additionally, I have a hard time imagining the aforementioned face qualities looking

attractive on human-like race in the vanilla setup, or on my particular setup. Granted, with all the various race mods running around and different meshes and what not, I'm almost positive there's a race where lowering the brow and cheekbones would look much better (maybe also on many of the non-humanoid races, as they can have much longer heads) however, if one were to look at those faces to begin with, they might take note that the brow is abnormally high to begin with etc. etc.

I would say generally, the best humanoid characters tend to display a higher forehead, smaller chin, smaller nose, a shorter/narrower jaw, higher cheekbones, clear, smooth skin, and larger, clear eyes.

Actually came on here to say this. Just found that the other day, and very nice. Makes sense not too many mods for it, as it's all the product of a single person rather than an entire community built around one or two competing body mods.

Anyway, enjoying the change from UNP.
