Most dungeons have a 'quick exit route' when you have finished them so you dont have to run the whole way back. Is it ever possible to abuse these to skip the dungeons?

Im thinking e.g. to open chains/levels through walls. Or simply go in the back door somehow if they are hidden but accessible.

Unfortunately most are inaccessible due to being behind a hidden door or high cliff. I know you can go in Haemar's(sp?) Shame through a back way but there are bars stopping you if its your first time. Can't recall any others at this time.

There's a trick to opening them I believe, if they aren't an entrance to the cave but a door inside.

Unless the dungeon is locked with a door that requires a key, you should be able to break into most.

    1) There is some trick to opening the doors with bars.
    2) Horses are mountain climbers.
    3) You can use the Walk through walls exploit to, well, walk through the walls/doors.

No jokes? Only serious answers? It's even in quotation marks. It's pretty much inviting it, nay, demanding it!

when you go after Red Eagle's whatcha-macallit, you can walk in the camp from atop the ridge, rather than start in the river valley where the quest marker leads; so you won't have to work your way through a cave or two and several hostile camp-sites

care for a shortcut through the epic fight with the Briarheart at the top? SPOILER stun him with FUS RO DAH or paralysis or ice form then pick-pocket his pumper while he's down. don't wait for the sneaking marker to show you're hidden, it won't. just crouch, pick and voila. also: pick the pumper first and everything else is found, rather than stolen.

Sun Tzu and Bilbo "burra-hobbit" Baggins would agree, there's no shame in subterfuge
