Is their magnitude affected by necromage and dual cast. If so what is the highest level undead you could turn. Oh and I heard the recovery perk is glitched.

hm. Another question that I'm not sure about.

I have heard that illusion's calm spell can calm higher level enemies when dual casted. I don't see why Turn Undead would be any different.

Dual cast is usually 2.2 times stronger.

so Turn Greater Undead turns level 21, so max of 46.2

Bane of the Undead turns level 30. It is master level, so it is always dual casted (if the dual cast perk applies (I think it does, but not sure), it will turn well over 60, and enemies max at 50.

Guardian Circle turns up to level 35 and heals you. (again a master level)

NOTE: all of this is untested.
NOTE 2: I'm not sure about Master level spells dualcasting.

Well, I was wrong. Turn Undead doesn't level with dual casts. The exception is Circle of protection. (level 20 X 2.2 = 44). There are other ways to boost this (including necromage).

I'm not sure what the recovery glitch is suppose to be, but UESP doesn't say anything about it.

I know you don't want a link, but a large portion of your questions are answered in the notes at the bottom.

What does turn undead do? Does it make them run away or fight for you?

You should be able to cast healing spells on undead and it hurts them too.

@VT... the DURATION is affected by dual casting, not the magnitude. = )

Recovery is NOT glitched. My guess? He's reading nonsense on the wiki.

@mags... it makes them run away. And I'm not certain you should. You aren't doing it the same way that you do in D&D (which is what most other RPG's base that mechanic off of).

They AREN'T connected to the negative material plane, and healing spells DON'T channel positive material planar energy.

Meaning... you're animating the body, and repairing another body do NOT use opposing energies.

UESP says both Duration and Magnitude. I have never tested it though.
