So I've looked around the web and tried all the suggested methods for getting around this glitch. I've fought him bare handed, used weak weapons, reloaded different save points, used spells only, rode my dragon and killed the ones flying around, but none have seemed to work. He is still stuck in ethereal mode in the center of the fight area. When the dragons come down and he kills them and tries to absorb their soul, the souls are instead absorbed by me. Is there any other trick I've not seen in any of the forums? Is Bethesda addressing this game breaking glitch and working on a patch? If anyone knows, please feel free to drop a line.

i got this glitch too.
the way i finally beat him was to only knock him down to about 1/4 health, then stop attacking. at this point he calls a dragon.
when i was hitting him until he was near death he always glitched.

I finally got past his eternal wimp mode by not touching the dragons at all, including refraining from climbing on mine and I only took Miraak's health just below 1/2 then let my dragon hit him down to where he goes ethereal then waited for him to heal, repeat until he kills three dragons and then I wiped out his health completely.

i tried:
1. not hitting miraak at all running around in circles while the dragon is attacking him on master diffuculty.
2. beating him as fast as i can.
3. jumping from the tower.
4. after him becoming ethreal i tried riding my dragon and killing the other dragon.
5. i tried killing all 3 dragons before he becomes ethreal.
etc.
it still didn't work.
seriously bethesda you really disapointed me this time i want the patch or give me my $20 back.

It was fine the first time I tried it, but when I did it on another character, I kept getting the glitch. I restarted like 10 times already and got glitched each time. This is getting really freaking old.

Mine was fine - I just shot the first dragon that landed on the tower after I made Miraak turned invisible. It went through perfectly fine.
