PC version is definitely the best of the three.

I love how he admits that the PS3 Version is better than 360's and still gave it .1 less hahah

@Masenkoe I bet you he gave the Xbox 360 version a better score because you can get achievements with that version which encourages people to explore more in the game and experience more for a reason.

renatogsms: on the PS3 in 3rd person?

yankblan: in case you didn't notice , you can adjust the mouse speed and play the game in 3rd person (just use the f** mouse wheel)

I've bought this cheap (GOTY) because I love RPGs, but for the love of god I can't get used to first person fights where you turn as fast as Robocop. I can't even get past the dungeon escape at the start of the game it's so irritating, and I've started over 4 times in the year and a half I've had this game; each time believing I remembered wrong and I must be an idiot if it's such an overwhelmingly acclaimed game. It must be good, right? Well heck no, leave FP for shooters and give me 3rd person for RPG. Diablo, Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, countless others, but this? It's like playing Duke Nukem with loot or being part of the Dungeon and Dragons club in junior high.

@MEDzZ3RO Since this game came out long before Fallout 3, the correct statement would be Fallout 3 seems to be Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion set in a post nuclear apocalyptic setting.

Never played any of the Elder Scrolls games but having seen the Skyrim trailer I thought I'd give this a look. Correct me if I'm wrong but this comes across as Fallout 3 set in an earlier period. That's a good thing though, loved Fallout 3.

Without doubt my favourite ever game. I bought it in 2008 and still play it today, having put in around 300 hours of playtime! It is simply stunning, the wealth of variety and complete freedom to literally do whatever you want. You can be anyone you want, for example I was a divine hero who went bad and became an assassin before contracting a vampire disease and having to suck blood and only move around at night! My character is now cured and hunts vampires for bounty. As you can tell, I have a vivid imagination! But the fact is that with Oblivion, you get the true role-playing experience and for anyone debating whether or not to get this game, just buy it, you will not look back!

Wow this is the worst reviewer I have ever seen. Too lazy to lower the sound during combat and goes quiet for long times so he can hit the 4m mark. It doesn't help that my little brother could've written a better review. I haven't played this and after this review, I don't really want to. But I know the game is good and won't less this crappy reviewer let me miss it.

@implodingskull This game is years ahead of some modern games. I highly recommend it. Oblivion is a standalone experience. You do NOT want to miss this.

I'm new to ps3 and love it. Does this game hold up today? I'm thinking of purchasing it, but don't want something outdated. I know I'm undoubtably getting Demon's Souls, but i don't know if i should add this one to my gradually increasing collection of epic games??

@Jibroni Hey. I have the PC version, plus I own a PS3, and I'll have to say the PC is better. If your computer is as good as you say it is, it should look and run flawlessly. PLUS, the PC has the ability to load custom mods, which will add a heck load of extra content that consoles cannot offer.

@russellprodigy you should definitely buy The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion GOTY edition . then buy Dragon Age : Origins , and after that buy Fallout 3 : GOTY edition . trust me i played all of them and oblivion is the best , dragon age is the second and fallout 3 is the third .
