You can't say it is a bad game,but far from being the best.
Now it's time for oblivion to make it's presence felt,and damn it did!
Gameplay&story&sound&miscellaneous
You start as.....nobody because you don't know your own name,can't remind of your past and so sort of stuff.However,you're a prisoner in jail,at the beginning you just stand in your cell waiting for someone to set you free form it.Finally the emperor Uriel Septim along with some wardens came to you speaking of weird stuff happening to cyrodill and so on.
After you are set free the real fun begins.You got a nice sword and some fancy clothing though the prologue is very long(I mean from a jail you reach a dungeon and just after this u crawl through a sewer to only reach the surface world).From that moment you have to make your way through the landscape and reach a city where you can trade,sleep and steal some things(stealing&sneaking mechanics are outstanding).Yeah you heard well,stealing!Why you should buy when you can steal,however stealing it's not so easy,because I've found myself deep in s******* and not only this....WARNING:having a high bounty on your head makes the game unplayable so you'd better lay low with the guards.There are some refreshments from morrowind like the inventory,the block and fight mechanics and lots of new features+now you can ride horses :)).I've done some research on the internet and i've found some interesting features about the game like:
-At oblivion 55 programmers,designers,sound technicians worked
-6 designers exclusively worked for the dungeons
-Cyrodill it's 15% bigger than Vvanderfall(morrowind) owning a total of 41 square kilometres(:O)
-1500+ the numbers of NPC-S
-400 + the number of books
-1000+ regions to visit in oblivion
-around 200 dungeons
-121 herbals&plants
-9 main cities
-9 mansions to buy
-9000 + the number of stuff in oblivion(weapons,armors etc)
-25-30 hours taken to complete the main quest
-200+ the number of hours taken to complete the game visiting all the regions
Now am i convinced you to play this game?I hope so!
Graphics:Unlike the morrowind's ugly,dated graphics this one is amazing,it have the beautifully level design,locations,npc-s and so on.Amazing voice acting and lip sync,great lighting&water effects.All in all the graphics of Oblivion are arguably the best so far in the series
Conclusion:Oblivion definetly shouldn't be missed,there's no excuse for you to not buy this game,it's absolutely amazing,now here's some con's and pro's:
The good:
-amazing graphics,amazing sound,gameplay is well done due the combat sequences,the rest(you know it)
the bad:
- you need an absolutely powerful pc to run it at his best quality
-could be so much better
-bugs,many bugs
-some AI problems
