Oblivion is a true masterpiece and stands as one of the best RPG's ever.

User Rating: 9.4 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion X360
The Elder Scrolls games has always been great. They are a true example of how a great RPG should be. And when Morrowind was released we all went bananas. The game was so huge you'd posibly never visit all the locations! And now Elder Scrolls 4 is released and believe it or not, it goes bejond everything Bethesda has done in the past. It actually goes bejond most other RPG's ever!

The Xbox360 has got some amazing hardware, and seing it all in use is just breathtaking. Oblivion looks incredible, the environments are prettier that I could ever have imagined. The characters all look great and have some very nice facial expressions. Seing the sunset in Tamriel is a sight bejond comparison to anything else I've ever seen in a game to date!

The sounds in Oblivion are also awesome. The sound effects are great, they do an incredible job of bringing this world to life. But the music is what really takes the cake. I remember getting bored of the music in Morrowind after like 10 hours, but I've played Oblivion for 60 hours and I just can't get enough of the beautiful soundtrack. And the most impressive thing about the sounds is that every single character in Tamriel speaks! The game features over 50 hours of talking! That's just unbelievable!

To begin with you're just an escaped prisoner, but as time goes on you become more and more powerful, and you'll eventually end up being either the most powerful wizard or warrior in all of Tamriel. When you create your character at the beginning of the game you can choose between several races and classes. This will effect what your character will be good at, and what'll be his major skills. Major skills affects your overall level. So leveling up is depended on you doing what you do best. This works very well cause you are forced to focus on some skills instead of everyone at the same time. Cause you can do almost anything in Oblivion. You do everything from picking flowers and hunting deers, to hunting down powerful vampires. There is of course a main quest in the game, where your goal is to close the connection with oblivion, which is the underworld. The main quest'll last for about 20-30 hours and is very interesting and good. But this isn't where you'll be spending most of your time in Oblivion. You can join several guilds and do missions for either noble fighters or silent assassins. Oblivion is like most other RPG's, you level up, discover new land, find new weapons and armor, and enchant them. But Oblivion does this so well it all feels fresh and new. Oblivion is a masterpiece and everyone with the slightest interest in the RPG genre should buy this game at once!
