For most this will be a great experience of an RPG, but if it does not appeal at first, you just wait.

User Rating: 9.5 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition X360
(Story = 9) If the game does not appeal to you in the slow-based but somewhat eye-catching tutorial, then you'll be in awe when you step out into the real game play and really get the hang of it. An amazing selection of weapons, extraordinary quests, and even some un-believable characters are brought to you through the story line. Although it seems like a perfect game throughout the side quests and the first half of the story, the storyline is just like any other RPG. You are a hero, saving the province of Cyrodiil from the mighty Gates of Oblivion and their conjurers, the Daedra. Fighting alongside with you is the Blades, the Bruma Guard, the Imperial Guard, and more. I would not like to spoil the storyline game play so I will switch the topic.

(Side-Quests = 10) Aside from the story there are many guilds and groups you can fit yourself into. Each guild being based on a different type of skill, some guilds have initiations, others have certain requirements. Either way the guilds pack a big deal of excitement. The Thieves Guild is undoubtedly the largest, most difficult and most entertaining of all the guilds. You start this off by stealing from any NPC that would get you into trouble with the guards. You will then Go To Jail and do your time their. You obtain a mysterious note and it tells you that you must meet in The Waterfront located south-west of the Imperial City, at midnight. There will be a man with a torch named Armand Christoph and he will be accompanied by one or two other NPC's. Once all three NPC's plus you, are gathered, Armand will start speaking to all of you in a cutscene. This will start the initiation. Other guilds consist of The Dark Brotherhood; the guild of murderers and assassins. Their is the Fighter's Guild for all warrior type characters and their is the Mage's Guild for all sorcery users. The Fighter's Guild and The Mage's Guild are legal guilds. Thus, the law allows these guilds to be active. The Dark Brotherhood is a secret guild, only available to murderers and is illegal. The Thieves Guild is the most infamous of the guilds and it is 100% against the law to join this group. Their are posters all over Imperial City, regarding the Grey Fox and his bounty. The Grey Fox is the leader of the Thieves Guild. There is also 50+ side-quests other then the guilds. Some involve fighting, or just reuniting family members. Any player will enjoy these extra parts to game even after finishing everything else.

(Downloadable Content = 9.5) Considering this is the GoTY (Game of The Year) Edition, I am obligated to tell you about the Down-Loadable Content. First up, is the Shivering Isles. A game expansion that really expands the game ! Not that it carries on the story from the original game, but you will find it has a long variety of enjoyable but messed up game play. Basically you find a portal on a tiny island near a small town after the quest headline shows up on your screen. You enter it after having a back-and-forth conversation with a guard and a crazy resident of the portal. Once inside you find a small room in which an elderly man in sitting at a table. He tells you to sit down, you talk, and so on. After you finish speaking to the man, the room morphs into small butterfly-like insects and " flutters " away. What happens next is for you to find out on your own.

Now the second Expansion, Knights of the Nine. You can start this DLC by entering a certain church in a town called Anvil and examining all the misfortunes that have stowed upon the residents in the church at the time of the attack. A bloody mess, bodies all over the place, and some ancient language written on the walls is what you will find in there. Coming out of the church you may see a man who's name comes up as " Prophet ". Speak to him and try to key out which phrases would go right in the conversation. He will tell you there is a great demon named Umaril and needs someone to go on the journey to stop it. Again, I will put the rest into your hands.

(Own Experience = 10) In my own experience, this game brings me back after years and years of starting. I first bought the PC version of the game and had much fun with that. Although still a great version, I used cheats like crazy. This made the game extraordinarily easy. It wasn't until I bought the Xbox 360 version that I legitimately played and finished the game. I still have many side-quests to do, all of which are fascinating to every type of player. I have beaten all of the guilds except the Thieves Guild, in which the last mission is bugged for me. I would say that every part of this game is extremely fascinating and hard to keep away from.

(Free Roam and Fun = 10) The Free Roam ability in this game is absolutely amazing. Fast traveling makes the game 10 times less frustrating, helping you to not have to walk everywhere. Luckily, all of the cities in the game are automatically open for you to fast travel to after completing the tutorial. With all of the games attributes and components, there is no way the game is out flawed by any circumstance. Just pure exhilaration.

Pros;
Unbelievable storyline and side-questline.
Each NPC has a different and unique personality.
Epic orchestra and in-game sounds.
The ability to create and customize your character however you want.

Cons;
Slight bugs, the inability to start or finish some quests.
Could be challenging trying to key out some solutions to quests.

Conclusion
All in all, this game is a masterpiece. Bethesda's best work in my opinion.
Overall Score = 9.7.
