The Darkness 2 is a great experience and it is great fun Quad-Wielding The Demon Arms and Duel wielding guns.

Visuals:
The visuals for The Darkness 2 are quite impressive with it's brilliant use of the steam punk or comic book art style and you could get a sense that it could have a noir style as well and the visual art style is just great to look at and is very easy on the eyes and you can take what ever art style you might think the visuals look like. So the detail to the characters and environments that you play through in The Darkness 2 are quite nicely detailed and the detail to the main character Jackie Estacado is greatly done well and pretty much looks the same is he did from the first game and in general the detail to Jackie and the rest of the character's in the game all looked great and most of the main character's from the last game do appear in this game and the looks of those character's all look great and a bit better to look at this time around and even though the detail's in that game were pretty great but this new look is great and is quite impressive.
The detail to all of the environments that you will go through in this game like the beginning of as you embrace The Darkness again shooting up and tearing up your enemies through the streets and subway line to a pool hall and to an abandoned amusement park even when the game takes you to the realm of The Darkness and to a imagination know as the loony bin or the insane asylum and all these local are detailed really nice and you should not be disappointed in the visuals at all. So if you are wondering about any frame rate issues, I did not experience any issues at all with this game and every thing else seems fine with it. So in short the visuals for this game are quite impressive all round and are pretty nice to look at.
Audio:
The audio for The Darkness 2 is great as it was in the first game and this game as great voice work even with a new voice for Jackie, great musical score/soundtrack and this games sound effect's for the game are pretty impressive to hear. So I'll star with the voice work where even though the voice work is pretty much the same for most of the returning cast and the additional new character's they were all voiced great as well but the one change to voice work line up was the change of the voice for Jackie Estacado from the last game but this new guy does a wonderful job as did the last guy and their was voice actor that was familiar and that was the voice work of the character known as Johnny Powel who I swear was voice by Bobcat Goldthwait of the ( Police Academy ) movies and I could be wrong, but my point is that the voice acting in this game is just superb. The sound track/musical score is great as well and really help to set the tone and from time to time the actual music in this game is just great from hear some tunes from band like sublime it is just great to hear those kind of songs in a sound track and the musical score for other part of this game is great as well and you get a great mix of sound track and musical scoring make this a great listening experience.
The sound effects for this game are great as well from the all the guns you fire and to the explosions they all sound great and when you fire any of the weapons you get a nice surround sound to and you get sound with everything in the audio and it all just sounds great. So in short for the audio for this game is that it is perfect from all aspect's of the audio and is like music to your ears and is also like a sympathy of destruction sort of speak, and in general the audio is in one word perfect.
Gameplay:
Now the game play for The Darkness 2 is a very impressive to play with quad wielding you guns and you Darkness arms and with combining the duel wielding of you guns and the duel wielding of the demon arms and makes you that much more powerful as you slash, grab and throw with the Demon Arms while simultaneously firing two weapons. So in this installment of The Darkness you play as non-other than Jackie Estacado who was in the last game a hitman for the Francetti crime family and they tried to take him out on his 21st birthday, but failed with the help of a power known as The Dakness, now fast forward 2 years now you Jackie are now the head of that family and it has been a while since Jackie has used the power of The Darkness and in fact Jackie learned to control it and well as you might know The Darkness is not to with that. So now The Darkness is pissed and it wants out so one night at a restaurant Jackie get attacked by a mysterious and powerful enemy known as The Brotherhood and during this attacked you Jackie are seriously hurt and with this new enemy it help bring The Darkness back to help you fight against this new enemy The Brotherhood and as you play this game you will be set on a journey that will send to hell and something much worse.
So the singleplayer campaign is a very compelling story that should and will grab onto you and keep you playing to see what happens next, and in this game you get a single darkling instead of four and this Darkling help you in your battles and in the midst of make sense of what is going on as you play through this game and you find him a bit funny from time to time as he calls you monkey from time to time. So in short this game is great with quad-wielding, a great compelling campaign and story that you will love playing as you enjoy embracing The Darkness once again.
Online:
The online for The Darkness is a CO-OP mode called Vendettas and you play as one of 4 unique characters with their own Darkness relics with you and three other friends or not you play through certain areas of the campaign that you have played through as Jackie but as one of the new character's and you can play this mode by your self, but it is more fun to play with other's, their is another mode which is called Hitlist and that is basically parts of the Vendettas campaign and single player parts and regardless you can play this buy your self or with friends and it is fun. So in short this CO-OP online component is fun and does add something new to this series and you should find it fun.
Overall:
The overall point for The Darkness 2 is that it is a great and solid game and is worth the money and you could find this game for a pretty good price now as this game did come back in February and you should check this game out when you do it will be worth it and you see some nice visuals, great audio and a really compelling campaign/story and the Vendettas campaign CO-OP mode is a great addition to this game and you might find this great like I found it to be. So in short this game is worth checking out.
