Where the pleasure madness begins.

User Rating: 8 | Genmu no Tou to Tsurugi no Okite DS
Overall:
You've probably played at least one RPG in your life. Whether it be a classic D&D style game or the cute anime styled Final Fantasy series. Truth is modern RPGs and JRPGs, began in a dimension known as "The 80's". You see nerds back then had posters of Molly Ringwald on their walls and cassettes of Duran Duran blaring while playing a game known as Wizardry. Even though it was an "electronic game" you had to use your imagination.......imagine that.
The game is hard, quite hard in fact and only the hardcore strategists need apply. If your a child of the mid to late nineties you might want to stick to your Poke'mon, because boys and girls this game is for your nostalgic older siblings (maybe even mommy & daddy). The fundamentals of the RPG are all there, but games of this era were rich in gameplay, they couldn't rely on eye candy to make a sell. It is a great game. And very addictive.
Presentation:
The presentaion on the DS is artsy fartsy in the best of ways. Old-school illustration style. The music, is a flashback from a 1988 arcade. You old gamers know what I mean.
Gameplay:
READ the manual. Yes, I said read. It may save you a couple dozen deaths and re-starts, because there is a bit of a learning curve with some trial and error.
