A great package. includes 2 campaigns and multiplayer. Can be frustrating at times, but the solid gameplay delivers.

User Rating: 8.5 | The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena X360
I played Escape from Butcher Bay when it first came out. I remember liking it, but I never got to finish it, it was only a rental. I recently went back to The Darkness, another game I rented and never got to finish. After beating The Darkness, I was overwhelmed by how amazing it was. Developer Starbreeze crafted a truly amazing game in my mind. I then focused a lot of my gaming attention on Starbreeze's next project: The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. Seeing as I highly enjoyed The Darkness, I couldn't wait to play Dark Athena. Even more so when I found out that Starbreeze was including a remastered version of Escape from Butcher Bay. I could finally finish Butcher Bay and play the follow up. I just finished playing both campaigns, and in the end, they were both highly enjoyable. I can't decide which campaign I liked better. The gunplay and stealth play mesh beautifully in the games. But the bullets do have a lag to them. They should be faster. The A.I. is somewhat dull, especially the mechs. If they've been searching for you, they will just stand there and wait until you attack them again. I did experience some bugs in the Dark Athena campaign. I would like Butcher Bay better, but Dark Athena is noticeably longer and includes a long off-ship chapter in the game. The graphics in both games are astounding. Just like The Darkness, the Riddick games are among some of the gaming industry's best graphics. The vioce work is one of the best parts of the game. It's one of the best vioce work games I've ever played. The weapon selection is somewhat disappointing. There's an assault rifle, shotgun, SCAR gun, sniper, SMG, shiv, knife, club, hairpin, and ulaks. There's only certain of those weapons in Butcher Bay. The characters are all rich with their own personalities. The multiplayer is disappointing. There is usually a lag and finding a match is very rare. It's even more frustrating when Starbreeze was working on the multiplayer before the actual game. The only reason there is multiplayer is that Vin Diesel wanted it. I would've preffered a longer campaign over multiplayer. This is a great package that anyone should at least rent. If you didn't play the original, I suggest playing it before Dark Athena.
