Narnia Is An Alright Action Game If You Can Look Past The Glitches And Sometimes Stupid Talking.

User Rating: 5.5 | The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe PS2
Narnia For PS2.

Based on the movie The Chroniclces of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, this game is notably different from it. The main story is the same except that, you start fighting from the first time you step into Narnia. The game is full of movie clips. The battles are intense and you can buy stronger combos as you go along.

Gameplay : The levels are kind of short, there are fifteen in total. Depending on how good of a gamer you are, this game could take more or less time. I beat it in five days with help from my brother. You start the game during the air-raid and must find your family and get out of the house. This, like most first levels is easy and gives you a chance to use everyone a little bit. A cool feature of this game is that you can switch from child to child, in the middle of the action.

Plus, the kids can team up for special attacks. Each child has special abilities. Peter, the oldest, is the strongest of the four, Susan, the second oldest, handles all the projectiles like snowballs and arrows, Edmund, the third in line, is the quickest and can climb up poles, lamposts, etc. and Lucy, the youngest, has healing powers and can enter small areas.

This game is great for Narnia fans, yet inexperienced gamers may have difficult time. Another interesting feature is that throughout the game you must mark statues for Aslan to revive later on. In the second to last level, you use all the statues to buy reinforcements. As you progress, hidden videos and bonus levels are unlocked.

Graphics : The graphics are well done and the landscape has a good amount of detail. Certain levels have marching enemies in the background which look 2-D. The sound effects are decent. If the mission objective is the same, so is the music.

Sound : The Sound Is Summed Up in two words " Ok ".

The only draw back is the game isn't always clear on what you need to do next and getting to a hiding stop means you have to kill all the enemies around. This game is for one or two players. Like an arcade game, the second player can jump in or fall out at any time. Although, certain parts of the game are easier as one-person, like finding your way through corridors, the game is best played with two people. The enemies get over whelming when you have to switch back and forth between characters to complete the objectives.
A tip I figured out is if you are timed and need to get through a tough door-way, turn off your partner, go through as one player, then turn your friend back on.

All In All Narnia Is A Nice Hack N Slash Game That Would Have Been Better If It Had More Levels, If You wanna buy it go ahead be my guest but i suggest rent it first !!!!
