The Bureau is awesome! Can't stop playing. Best game in a long time. The Shooting is amazing, the strategy is gold. Wow!
The Bureau is its own game, it has no real link to Enemy unknown, and I think that has disappointed some people. I love that it has its own identity,
If this game came out before Enemy Unknown it would have received an 8.5 for sure. The gameplay is super solid, the story is engaging and I haven't enjoyed saving a world from aliens this much since the original Halo
THE SETTING
The new setting for this game is seriously awesome, Its gangsters verses alien's. The contrast between the old-school sixties vibe and the high tech future technologies of the aliens made the games story feel special and engaging. I really felt motivated and passionate about saving this world from destruction.
GAMEPLAY.
This game has all the elements of a great shooter. But what is really special about this game is that although my characters felt venerable the core
gameplay made me feel immensely powerful. The ability to strategically execute all your moves and manage your squad makes you feel like a god of war and a super hero. And when you flawlessly take down a wave of enemy's that are so much stronger than you, you really feel like a command god. Only this time you also get to feel the pleasure of blowing an aliens head right off its body. This can be a hard and punishing game if you don't use strategy and play your cards just right. But when you get it just right you feel like its your brain that's your biggest weapon, not just your guns. There really aren't many games out there that can make you feel that way.
CONTOLES AND GRAPHICS
Some of the best controls and animations I've ever seen. I never felt cheeped because the controls didn't do what I wanted them too. The graphics A.I and physics are all really great. The graphics are not mind-blowing but the art style is awesome and really hooked me into a believable world.
CONCLUSION
If you've ever wished there was a great game that perfectly balanced RTS like squad commanding and awesome third person hardcode alien shooting then this game won't let you down. If you just want to shoot aliens then play Halo, but if you long for more that just moving a gun around the screen then this game has what you need. This is the first game in a long time that I just didn't want to put down from start to finish.
