The game consists on a "dungeon crawler" style, some kind of a funny action-paced-rpg. No game is equal to other you played. As the game randomly generates the setup, everytime you begin a game you will discover a lot of new creepy monsters, items and mainly bosses.
The game's history, Isaac's mom wanted to kill him because a "god's voice" tell her that her son Isaac is a "bad demon". So he runs away and enters in a trap door that sends him to dark dungeons. The story is very weak but the animations are very funny, remembering a lot Super Meat Boy's funny videos.
The point of the game is that, the way you, Isaac, start to collect items in the dungeons floors, Isaac's appearance starts to modify, and finally became a monster (or a demon, like his mom/god's voice said). The fun is that his appearance modify with each item get, so it will be always very different because you will always collect different items, as the dungeons are randomly generated.
The monsters are awesome, as every animation there. You will notice that every monster is like the characters created by the "internet", like TROLL FACE, FOREVER ALONE, RAGE, that red creature with big eyes that launches a mega ray from his month, and others that I don't remember or I never saw yet.
So, you will laugh in some way, from the monsters to the animation videos between the levels. Get ready to spend some good time with this, I recommend it for non and for-fun players. There is a lot to discover.
