This title does for music games what the album did for music. Albums like Sgt. Peppers, Tommy, and The Wall were compilations of songs that were crafted by the artist to tell a story. The Beatles Rock Band is just as innovative by taking the player on a journey through the history of one of the greatest bands ever. The only down side for me was that after seeing the outstanding cinematics in the intro trailer I was expecting a bit more of the same in the background of some of the tracks. There were no blue meanies in Yellow Submarine, no octopus in Octopus's Garden, and Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band could have used more visuals of people and items that were included on the original album cover. Overall, if you like The Beatles and enjoy music games than getting this title is a no brainer. This new format enables bands to be creative again and I can see a lot of other bands wanting to chronicle their history for fans in future music games.
