Nothing we really haven't seen before in the RB series, besides that it's COMPLETELY BEATLES!!!

User Rating: 8.5 | The Beatles: Rock Band WII
For a while, I was wondering whether or not to buy a Rock Band game. I've always had fun getting together with some friends and jamming away on our fake instruments, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to own the game myself.

The biggest reason was song choice: There were about 15 or so songs that I really enjoyed playing on the Rock Band disc, but I didn't feel as if that was enough to compensate for the $150 that I would've had to spend on the game and its accessories.

Since that little problem had been cleared up, I was all for the Beatles: Rock Band! There's nothing I don't like on the disc.

Harmonix really made a smooth move with this game. The selling factor of this game is the fact that there are very, very few people who don't like at least 90% of the music that the Beatles made. Being one of them, I decided to get the game, and it turned out to be a good choice.

Graphics: 8.5/10. The whole game has a distinct Beatles feel to it. The artistic design of this game turned out well, and it reflects the Beatles as well as it can. The notes look really sharp, and the special effects don't distract the player from gameplay. The only problem is the frame rate and clarity of the Beatles themselves, during performance. They look a bit grainy, and the frame rate can really lag if you have three players or more. However, these problems are never taken into account for the fret boards/karaoke lines/whatever, so no problem there.

Gameplay: 9.5/10. Gawd, what do you want from me? It's Rock Band. You play instruments... four of them. The guitar is in the middle as far as difficulty goes, then the bass is easier. The drums can be extremely difficult for beginners, or people who cannot repeat beats. The singing, however, depends entirely on the skill of the singer. You probably already know most of these songs, so the singing isn't as difficult as in other games. The only problem: NO FREESTYLE SESSIONS FOR DRUMS!!! This isn't really a problem however, because some people get off-beat because of those freestyle jams.

Music: 7/10. It's all Beatles. But the reason for the low score is because there were TOO MANY GOOD SONGS LEFT OUT. Yes, the game includes 40-something tracks, but there were some bad choices in there, and there were SO MANY better songs they could've added. Some missing tracks would be: Strawberry Fields Forever, Lady Madonna, Magical Mystery Tour, We Can Work It Out, Martha My Dear, Hey Jude, Let it Be, O Bla Di... you get the point.

Other Comments: NO UNLOCKABLE SONGS!!! There's little point to the story if there's no unlockables, besides the fact that the cutscenes look pretty. You can get photos too, but any fool could look those up on the internet...

In summary:

Pros: -All Beatles music!
-The more the merrier
-Short load times
-Solid graphics and artistic design
-Not too difficult
-Three part harmonies
-Strangely fun, considering the whole concept...

Cons: -NOT ENOUGH BEATLES MUSIC
-Not as fun by yourself
-Drums can be ridiculous
-Unlockable songs?
-Expensive, if you've never bought another rock band game.

Most of my cons are a bit nitpicky; overall, it's a solid game and deserves to be played if you are a remote fan of the rock band series and have the budget.
