The Ancient Art of War is a classic. Take control of an army, and destroy your opponents. You are fighting for control of cities in a landscape of different terrain, creating units of archers and infantry, choosing formations, and more. The view changes from an overhead bird's eye view to a beautiful side-scrolling battle view where each individual unit is visible as they fight each other in plains, forests or mountains, or even as they undertake the siege of a castle. With a bunch of scenarios and addictive, challenging gameplay, this game was a must play. Of course, now you'll be lucky if you find hardware capable of playing it.
