Entertaining but bare bones Hold 'Em for when you don't want to put real money at risk.

User Rating: 6.5 | Texas Hold 'Em X360
Texas hold 'em is a simple game. Find a match, play some poker, rinse lather and repeat. It's easy to understand, games play out at a good pace, and the cards are dealt out at random unlike other online poker games. (partypoker.net for instance.) There is tournament play, as well as quick matches. Both modes of play are quite fun and use separate bankrolls for your "money". Getting into a game is painless and easy, as it should be. This is a game best played on live. The single player is the weakest part of Texas Hold 'em; the AI is incredibly boring. It knows when to hold and when to fold, but will probably be too straightforward and predictable to keep your interest for very long. There are scenario modes, for example where you're put in the spot of the underdog in a high stakes tournament and must play your way to victory. These modes are of little interest however, and don't add much to the game. Achievements are good, but too many focus on the broken single player mode. Sound is bare minimum, but works just fine. You'll want to make sure to have a few CDs on your hard-drive however, because it wont take long until you're annoyed with the same boring lounge song that is played over and over again. All in all, if you are a poker fan with a gold account, you'll probably find there's enough replay value to justify the price of admission. Just Keep in mind that Texas Hold 'em for the Xbox 360 is a game of cards, nothing more.
